BETTER PUERTO RICO

The Foundation for a Better Puerto Rico is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2014. Recognizing the significant challenges Puerto Rico faces, we are committed to supporting those working on meaningful solutions. Our primary focus has been on the island of Culebra, home to a community of 1,400 residents... Second, we are working alongside the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and Mujeres de Islas to provide solar and battery systems to approximately 150 low-income families in Culebra. This initiative is part of the Department of Energy's Puerto Rico Energy Resilience Fund Program, and we expect to begin installing systems in early 2025.
