Prior to joining Emory AAE, Beverly worked as Lead Scheduler/Department Support Specialist for the Ophthalmology Department at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, TX. Previous to her tenure at Kelsey-Seybold, Beverly worked for the City of Houston's Department of Health & Human Services. During her time with the city, Beverly managed cases for clients affected by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike. As the Home Again program director, Beverly worked with the United Way Long-Term Recovery Program to secure more than $1M in relocation assistance from the American Red Cross for those like herself who were displaced due to hurricanes.

Brian was a United States Peace Corps Volunteer, and has the distinction of being a Kauffman Fellow. Alan is Director of Operations & Events Management at Goizueta Business School. Throughout his 20+ years at Goizueta, his focus has been to facilitate learning and enhance the academic experience for all the school's stakeholders. In his current position, Alan oversees several key school functions including facilities maintenance & renovation, events management, safety & preparedness, space management, and room reservations. Prior to this he served as Director of Academic Technology and Media Services, where he led many new initiatives such as: technology modernization in the classroom, creation of Emory's first video studio connected live to media outlets worldwide, early adoption of webcasts for transmitting signature events (first business school to do so) as well as building the team that created the school's online learning capability from scratch.

Julie Barefoot is Associate Dean of Engagement and Partnerships at Emory University's Goizueta Business School and also serves as the Interim Chief of Staff to the dean. She is responsible for maintaining relationships key to the business school and manages special projects and initiatives for the dean. She joined Emory in 1988 after working as a commercial loan officer at Mellon Bank. From that time until May 2018, Julie managed the MBA Admissions Office and was responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of students to our five MBA Programs. In her 30+ years of admissions work, she has represented Goizueta at MBA recruiting fairs worldwide and regularly engaged with alumni and corporate leaders during her travels. Julie is an expert in the admissions field, has served on numerous industry panels, was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and also served on the GRE Business School Advisory Board.
At the School's 90th Anniversary celebration, she was honored with the Outstanding Staff Impact Award recognizing her significant contributions to the school's growth, development and success during its 90 year history. She is a two-time recipient of the Donald R. Keough Staff Award of Excellence, the school's highest service award. Marvell Nesmith is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs & Instructional Design. In this role he works closely with chief campus academic and student affairs officers to oversee academic and student affairs for Goizueta Business School. His experience working with leaders in medicine, law, and health science to implement curriculum changes from both the faculty and staff perspectives serves Goizueta well. Marvell is charged with the coordination of mission statements, academic strategic plans, academic policy, shared governance, admission progression, and retention standards for Goizueta while ensuring alignment with Emory University policies and governance. Matthew Williams serves as a Director of Development I for Emory University's Goizueta Business School. In his role, Matt will manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and implement strategies to increase philanthropic support in Georgia as well as California.
Matt most recently served as an Associate Director of Development at North Caroline State University with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, a position he held since January 2020. Susan is a frequent speaker on business research and management topics at conferences for the information professional industry and regularly contributes articles to industry publications, such as Online, Business Information Alert, and Searcher.
