Kevin Hunter joined Thrivent Financial in 2004 as Director of Continuous Improvement. Now as Vice President of Enterprise Effectiveness, he is deploying Continuous Improvement, along with Development, Organization Design, Execution & Change Management disciplines, on a national level, making them available to all employees and key partners. He has been instrumental in building a continuous improvement culture aimed at enhancing daily business operations and improving efficiency. Thrivent's model is based on business leaders becoming experts in improvement. They currently boast over 300 green belts and 100 black belts, and they are approaching nearly $200M in value created through improvements, which helps drive their growth strategy. Kevin believes people are the best resources, and therefore unleashing talent is the best gift we have to offer. Helping others to succeed is his passion. He was influential contributor in starting Habitat for Humanity and Secura on their lean journeys, partnering with them on training efforts. Prior to Thrivent, worked at Deloitte, specializing in Strategy and Operations within the financial services industry. He was a Sr Leader at Accenture, with a focus on strategy and improving business operations, and 1-of-3 global winners across 61 countries for their Global Recipient Accenture Quality-Value-Service Excellence Award. Kevin has earned a B.A. in Business Admin - Finance & Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In addition, he has earned a Master Black Belt, and advanced training on Strategic Organizational Leadership and Maximizing Team Performance, from Villanova University. He is also certified in 6 Thinking Hats, Steven Covey Four Roles of Leader and 4 Disciplines of Execution Super Coach. He was Co-Founder of Fox Cities Operational Excellence Association, and his volunteer efforts also include Habitat for Humanity and Fox Cities Project Promise Collation. He used continuous improvement tools to co-lead a community effort with leaders in the Fox Cities to discover root causes of poverty.
