I am an integrative counsellor and work in two main modalities which are Psychodynamic and Person Centered... Psychodynami c - is about exploring difficult feelings and experiences that have happened in the past e.g. a bad relationship, which is affecting the present, i.e. a present relationship. This is usually done on an unconscious level and the person does not realise this is happening... Person Centered - is about exploring how the client is feeling now about themselves, how they feel that people perceive them and how people may have contributed to who they are today. Person Centered is more about the here and now.
