When they announced they would be closing their doors for good, long-time employee and Kerkhoven resident, Don Halverson, and his wife Juanita, made the decision to purchase the business and continue to run it as a full-service lumber yard. Starting out with just Don, Juanita, and two other employees, Don's Building Center began its journey to serve the community of Kerkhoven and surrounding area with high-quality products and service... In 2016, Don's Building Center expanded to the west by opening a product and design showroom in Benson, MN.
