Goodman decided that Newark, N.J. needed a fine jeweler to serve its growing population with loyalty and respect. Frederic Goodman Fine Jewelers, a family business, was born, spread throughout the state, and eventually opened its Montclair location in 1985 where it became an integral part of the local community. In 2019, the Goodman family decided to leave the retail landscape, and the new ownership of the store adopted and expanded on the values of its predecessor.
