Catherine J. Navarro

Ms. Navarro is a partner at Fontes Law Group and supervises the Family Law and Probate department. Ms. Navarro was recently named to the 2022, 2023, and 2024 Southern California Rising Stars list, an honor that is determined by Super Lawyers and recognizes no more than 2.5% of the attorneys within California. Throughout her career, she has represented families in family court and probate court. Ms. Navarro has also represented immigrants and their families before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and has litigated cases before the Executive Office of Immigration Review in Immigration Court. Ms. Navarro primarily focuses on Family Law, Probate Law, and Immigration Law. Ms. Navarro was born and raised in Orange County, California and earned her two Bachelors in Chicana/Chicano Studies, and Global and International Studies with an emphasis in Latin America from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011. Throughout her undergrad career, Ms. Navarro was involved with various Latina/o organizations taking a leadership role. Upon graduation, Ms. Navarro joined Fontes Law Group in 2011 as a legal assistant working under the direct supervision of Managing Partner and Founder Martin C. Fontes. Ms. Navarro continued working at Fontes Law Group as a law clerk while simultaneously attending law school. Ms. Navarro graduated Magna Cum Laude from Whittier Law School in 2016 and was admitted to the California Bar the following year. During law school, Ms. Navarro received the Dean's List and Honor Roll awards, and the CALI award for the Immigration Law Practicum. Ms. Navarro also served as the President of the Whittier's Hispanic American Law Student Association and Treasurer of the Whittier's Immigration Advocacy Society Ms. Navarro is admitted to practice law before all California State Courts. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California.

Daysi Torres

Mrs. Torres joined Fontes Law Group as a law clerk and provisional licensed lawyer in 2021. Mrs. Torres works closely with the attorneys in all Immigration Law, Family Law, and Worker's Compensation matters. Mrs. Torres was born in Southern, California and lived most of her childhood in Jalisco, Mexico. Mrs. Torres graduated from the California State University, San Marcos in 2012 and earned her Bachelor's in Political Science. During her time at California State University, San Marcos, Mrs. Torres was a JusticeCorp member, where she served for two terms at the San Diego Superior Court assisting self-represented litigants with resolving important legal matters. It was here that she discovered her passion for the law and helping individuals understand the court process. Mrs. Torres graduated from Trinity Law School in 2020 and has been practicing law under a supervising attorney as a Provisionally Licensed Lawyer since 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Daysi worked at a Bankruptcy law firm in the Inland Empire for more than seven years. Additionally, she obtained her CTEC, PTIN and is a California Notary Public. Eric Marquez

Mr. Marquez primarily focuses on Immigration Law matters handling cases at various stages of the legal process. He has appeared in courtrooms across the state of California where he succeeded in obtaining results for his clients. He has previously represented financial institutions where he gained substantial litigation experience. Mr. Marquez was born and raised in Southern California and obtained his BA in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. While in law school, Mr. Marquez studied abroad in Spain where he studied IP and Entertainment Law at the Universitat de Barcelona. In his free time, Mr. Marquez enjoys reading, traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with his friends and family. Mr. Fontes is the Managing Partner and Founder of Fontes Law Group. Throughout his career, Mr. Fontes has represented thousands of immigrants and their families before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and has litigated thousands of cases before the Executive Office of Immigration Review in Immigration Court. Mr. Fontes primarily focuses on Immigration Law and Worker's Compensation. Mr. Fontes was born and raised in Nogales, Arizona, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1997. Throughout his undergrad career, Mr. Fontes played football for the University of San Diego Toreros. Mr. Fontes graduated from the Arizona State College of Law in 2004 and was admitted to the California Bar that year. During law school Mr. Fontes clerked for a private law firm specializing in criminal law. Mr. Fontes also clerked for the Honorable James A. Soto at the Santa Cruz County Superior Court of Arizona. Upon completion of law school, Mr. Fontes practiced as an Immigration Attorney for a private law firm in Orange County, CA for approximately two years. In 2006, Mr. Fontes opened his private practice. Mr. Fontes is admitted to practice law before all California State Courts. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
