Edwin Louw

Edwin Louw is the GHM Group's Manager, so too a lead facilitator, coach and mentor. His values are firmly aligned with that of GHM, a consultancy firm focussed on Organisational Development, Talent Management and Skills Enhancement. Edwin's career spans over three decades of training and development at several levels in sales management, project management, performance and human resource management, financial management and technical management; he is also a motivational speaker. Edwin is passionate about people and life itself, he has a constant desire to add value and bring out the best in everyone he comes into contact with. His style is upbeat, and he uses humour and a positive mental attitude in his delivery. His vast experience spanning years spent in diverse business environments enables Edwin to portray a wide range of skills useful in that which GHM excels in. He is particularly great at imparting individuals with self-leadership, self-discipline and self-motivation skills, facilitating the holistic growth and development of the self. Edwin is well entrenched in the principles of corporate communications and has a creative approach to managing effective communication for successful teams. Edwin has vast experience in real estate development and sales resulting in leadership roles as a franchise manager, franchisee and principal/business owner. Recognised as one who strives to live a healthy lifestyle, when Edwin is not focussing on getting people highly motivated or consulting individuals and businesses, you will often find him in the gym, on his bicycle or busy with self-development, so as to better serve those around him. Edwin has competed in high profile cycling events such as the Cape Town Cycle Tour and the Coronation Double Century.

Gary Hardenberg - Founder

Gary Hardenberg is a founding member & Director of GHM and is based in Cape Town South Africa. Gary has a long history of talent management, development, sales leadership, and operations in several market leading global organisations. During his career Gary has helped develop countless leaders through his trademark sales leadership program and philosophy. He is a qualified facilitator, assessor, moderator, and verifier and has a passion for developing bespoke programs to suit specific business needs. Gary has worked with several businesses in designing such programs for the successful achievement of sales goals. Gary has run massive sales teams with phenomenal success including hospitality to business, and services corporations. During his time with ADT Worldwide, he developed, while living in Birmingham, a training academy which was responsible for ADT's successful direct sales model. Gary's experience ranges from recruitment, on boarding, hands on training, management, coaching, career pathing, as well as team dynamics. One of Gary's critical success factors is his understanding of the need to develop a talent chain at the middle management in level organisations, critical in driving talent and skills excellence in the businesses he has been involved with. Gary's passion for developing people is unique and has proven to be integral to his success. Gary is a jovial and vibrant trainer whose style is easy and accommodating to almost everyone who interacts with him. Gary's focus on measurable results is steadfast in driving the work that Gary does. Gary began his career in 1990 with RCI Group in the hospitality industry leading sales and operations, where he held the position of National Sales and Operations Manager, overseeing 40 sales staff and 100 call centre agents. Gary then went into ADT Worldwide and helped set up a new sales channel through the ADT Authorized Dealer model before assuming the role of training academy head, to lead a diverse, multi-skilled and dynamic training team to support the ADT business in SA and SSA.

Hennie Matthee started his career in South Africa and moved to Europe servicing the sales and management sectors. Hennie later moved to Australia, New Zealand and Asia, driving sales excellence and training for global holiday behemoth, RCI. In his decade long journey on his international postings he was involved in talent recruitment, management, development, sales leadership and management development programs, with a core focus of building effective teams. In his 20 year career enabling, up-skilling and developing individuals, Hennie has achieved numerous accolades and has been personally responsible for recruiting in excess of 10'000 sellers, he has trained in excess of 30'000 employees, and has been intricately involved in the development of more than 5'000 mid to senior level managers. Hennie is a qualified facilitator, assessor and moderator and is steadfast in his belief in lifelong learning, personal motivation, and coaching individuals to reach their full potential. From international recruitment to managing top tier sales teams, developing managers within a variety of business sectors spanning hospitality, entertainment, food & beverage, service industries, and business corporations, his true passion lies in challenging the status quo and inspiring individuals to achieve more than they ever thought possible. While at RCI International Hennie was responsible for all sales and management training in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, during which time RCI achieved record sales and growth in these markets.
