Ann-Marie Smale

Ann-Marie has been managing director of Powell Dobson Architects for the past 7 years and a Board director for 19 years. Cricket has been a big part of her life. She is a Level 2 qualified coach and has two children involved in the elite cricket pathways. Ann-Marie provides expertise in property development and estate management which is critical to maintaining Sophia Gardens as a major international cricket venue as well as a key understanding of the development of young cricketers.

Dan Cherry

A former professional cricketer with Glamorgan, Dan joined the Operations department of the Club in late 2007 to assist with the completion of the redevelopment of the SWALEC Stadium. In 2012 Dan was promoted to the role of Head of Operations and now assumes managerial responsibility for all operational matters within the stadium, and acts as the event manager for all Major Matches and events. Dan acted as the venue lead for all matches hosted in Cardiff during the ICC Champions Trophy tournaments in both 2013 and 2017 and the Cricket World Cup in 2019

Duncan Macintosh

Duncan joined Glamorgan, as Secretary, in 2016. He is Senior Partner of Capital Law Limited, a commercial law firm with offices in Cardiff and London, and head of their Corporate and Commercial team. Duncan was born in India, educated in Scotland, where he played various levels of cricket, and came to Wales in 1990. He is also a fellow of The Royal Society of Arts, and has been a member of the MCC since 1982.

Ed Rice - Chief Commercial Officer

Ed joined Glamorgan as Head of Commercial in Jan 2023. Ed has extensive knowledge and experience working in the commercial side of sport having spent time in senior positions at the Welsh Rugby Union and, most recently, Liverpool Football Club. Ed oversees all revenue generating activities at the club including sponsorship, hospitality & events, marketing & comms. Fundamental to this is leading the strategic direction of the club to grow its profile and cricket audiences in Wales.

Gareth Rees

Gareth Rees is an ex-Glamorgan cricketer who played nearly two hundred matches for club and scored over 7,500 First-Class runs before retiring from professional cricket in 2014. He then joined Wales based insurance company, Admiral, where he now leads Admiral's strategy on automotive and data partnerships. The 34-year-old also holds a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Bath and is a board member on Ballet Cymru, Wales' leading ballet company.

Gerard Elias

Gerard has been a successful lawyer for over 50 years. He was in private practice as a barrister from 1967 and as Queen's Counsel from 1984, and was involved in many of the important criminal cases in Wales. Gerard has had a lifelong interest in promoting standards in professional & public life, and in sport. For 22 years he chaired the ECB's Discipline Commission, which regulated conduct in cricket; between 2008 and 2013 he chaired Sport Resolutions, the body overseeing mediation in sport disputes, including anti-doping, and from 2010 until 2016 was the independent Commissioner for Standards for the National Assembly for Wales, which regulated the conduct of Assembly Members, at the end of which appointment he was awarded the CBE. He has been a member of Glamorgan Cricket for more than 60 years, and played club cricket extensively in South East Wales. He joined the Glamorgan Committee in 1983 and became deputy and then Chairman between 1997 - 2004.

Hugh Morris - CEO

Hugh Morris returned to Glamorgan as Chief Executive in January 2014 after 16 years at ECB in senior leadership roles including; Acting Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Managing Director of England Cricket. In his six years as Managing Director of England Cricket, Hugh enjoyed considerable success including; overseeing the winning of three Ashes Series, winning the ICC World Twenty20 tournament and becoming number one in the world in Test match cricket. During his playing career he scored nearly 20,000 runs for Glamorgan and led the County to their first domestic title for 24 years in 1993 by lifting the AXA Sunday League trophy. He also played three Test matches for England. He has an MBA from Henley Management College, an Honorary Doctorate from Loughborough University and is an Honorary Fellow of Cardiff Metropolitan University.

John Noaks

John has been an avid cricket fan playing both school and club cricket. He has extensive experience of grassroots cricket and was Captain, Secretary and Fixture Secretary of Lisvane CC. His family share his passion for the game and his son and grandson play for local teams. John graduated from Cardiff University and worked in education across South Wales for 40 years managing the Psychology service in the Rhondda and Bridgend. He also taught Applied Psychology at Swansea University. He has undertaken Consultancy in Sports Psychology, Psychometrics, Well-being and Stress Management. He has been a member of Glamorgan CC for over 30 years and he and his wife are regulars at Glamorgan games, home and away. He is an active member of St Helen's Balconiers and Glamorgan Followers. He is currently the Follower's Treasurer and has worked closely with officers at Glamorgan on various projects including supporting emerging talent with financial support for the Academy.

Leshia Hawkins

Leshia joined Cricket Wales as CEO in February 2020. Prior to this, and following an early career in business, Leshia worked at the England & Wales Cricket Board for 7½ years, in a number of roles in both the Commercial and Participation divisions. While at the ECB, she was responsible, most notably, for the securing of Kia's sponsorship of Women's cricket and New Balance's kit partnership for all England teams. In her grassroots development role, she oversaw the London Region from an operational point of view, working with Surrey, Middlesex, Kent & Essex. An alumni of Durham University, where she read Modern Languages, Leshia has represented numerous club sides at cricket, none more humbling or special than the MCC, of which she is now a playing member. Leshia represents Cricket Wales on the Board of Directors of Glamorgan Cricket, and also serves as a Non-Executive Director of England Athletics. She is an active 'dysgwr Cymraeg' (Welsh language learner) and is a regular recreational runner and gym-go-er.

Mark Frost

Mark is a former professional with Glamorgan Cricket where he was part of the 1993 Sunday League winning squad, previously with Surrey and Staffs, and a cast iron no.11 batter. Since those days Mark has worked in sport management for Sport Wales where he was part of the Senior Management Team overseeing all its grassroots work with governing bodies of sport and local government. Mark now works in a joint role across the professional and recreational arms of cricket in Wales. Key areas of work for Cricket Wales are overseeing the growth of the flagship All Stars & Dynamos Cricket programme, women and girls cricket as well as overseeing the three area teams. At Glamorgan, Mark ensures a smooth running of the Cricket Centre, growth of the Stadium Tour programme, Matchday cricket and community activation and a range of cricket for good social projects.

Mark Rhydderch-Roberts

Crickhowell born Mark Rhydderch-Roberts brings a wealth of experience to the role of Treasurer following a 28 year career in Investment Banking during which time he held senior positions with a number of Global Investment Banks. Mark currently holds non-executive director roles at the International Conference Centre Wales (ICCW), Excalibur Steel Ltd and is a Board Member of the Welsh Industrial Development Agency. He also served as a member of the Advisory Panel which led to the creation of the Development Bank of Wales. He played first class rugby for a number of leading Clubs including Bath, Pontypridd (where he serves as an executive director), Newport and Ebbw Vale.

Mark Wallace

A former captain of the club, Mark retired in 2017 after 18 years as a player to take up a job with the Professional Cricketers Association having been Chairman of the organisation for the previous four years. Mark returned to Glamorgan as Director of Cricket in 2019 in a role which oversees all cricket at the club from the professional staff all the way through to the junior pathway.

Rachel Owen

Rachel is a retired Local authority solicitor and retired presiding justice in the Family magistrates' court. She is a lifelong cricket fan supporting Glamorgan and England cricket for more than 40 years. Rachel was one of the original Premier members and is now a gold 125 member. She is secretary of the Glamorgan Followers and, with her husband, organises monthly luncheons at Sophia Gardens from October to March each year. Rachel is also a member of the St. Helens Balconiers and wholeheartedly supports cricket in Swansea. Since being a member of the Board, Rachel acts as the Board Safeguarding Lead supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Glamorgan to ensure that children and adults are protected from abuse.

Rez Hassan

Rez Hassan has a huge passion for the game of cricket and has played as an amateur in South Wales for the past 25 years. Rez is the General Manager for Mars Iberia and has worked in the FMCG industry for the last 17 years. Rez has had success in a number of disciplines including; strategy development, organisation development, customer management, marketing, product management and people management. The business experience in FMCG he has acquired will be critical to engaging new audiences to the game of cricket in Wales.

Sameer Rahman

Sameer Rahman, a passionate cricket supporter and Glamorgan follower, is currently working as Director of Insight at The Royal Mint. Cardiff-based Sameer has enjoyed senior Marketing, Data and Commercial roles in various big organisations and worked as a consultant across UK and internationally. Sameer brings a wealth of expertise to support the commercial and marketing focusing mainly focusing on digital and data to drive business and growth strategies for the Glamorgan Cricket. He has years of non-executive director experience and is a serving independent director at the Millennium Stadium Plc and Alliance Homes. He has served in various executive positions over the last 5-10 years. Sameer is a published international author and speaker on data and digital related topics and sees the application of data and digital as vital to the growth of the Glamorgan Cricket and cricket in general. He wants to use data and digital technologies to get the game of cricket closer to their fans and members.
