Albertus Coetzee

Coetzee was born in Klerksdorp and after 4 years he moved to Pretoria where he grew up. Ab attended Tshwane University of Technology where he completed his studies in medical Orthotics and Prosthetics. While studying he worked full time at a practice to get as much experience as possible. Ab also runs Project Wild in his free time - an organisation that provide prosthetics to wildlife animals and that helps with wildlife rehabilitation to animals that cannot be rewild again. Elanie Van Den Berg

Elanie was raised in Kimberley and graduated from Diamantveld High school before obtaining her B-tech degree from Tshwane University of Technology in 2016. Since graduation she has worked in the government sector as well as the private sector and has been the co-owner of Germishuys and Van Den Berg O&P since 2017. She is a strong believer in continuing education and keeping up with new development in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Elanie has special interests in lower and upper limb prosthetics, foot orthotics and breast prostheses. Outside of Orthotics and Prosthetics, Elanie is a regular adventure seeker and relaxes whenever she is surrounded by nature. She is also a coffee lover and enjoys any form of art.

Lameez Kimmie

Job Titles:
  • Medical Account Administrator
Lameez Kimmie, born and bred in Kimberley. She matriculated from Kimberley Girls High School thereafter joined the SAPS for a brief 5 years before getting married. This is when she realised her actually calling was to work in the medical field. She worked for the Mediclinic Group, CANSA, then followed on to a private GP practice and she can now finally say she's found her happy place with Germishuys and Van den Berg O&P. Being in the medical field, irrespective of the capacity, she is always committed to learning something new and ensuring her knowledge is kept updated.

Michelle van den Heever

Job Titles:
  • Front Desk Representative
Michelle van den Heever was born and raised in Kimberley. After school (DHS) she attended college locally. Her first job was as a casual at Spar, and from there she worked at Builders Market (now BUCO), CUM Books and Margaret van den Heever Physiotherapists. She joined GVDB in 2021 as receptionist. She strives to be friendly and helpful with everyone.

Wynand Germishuys

Job Titles:

Wynand Germishuys was born and raised in the Western Cape. After school he studied Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics at Tswane University of Technology in Pretoria which, at the time, was the only institution in South Africa that hosted the course. After completion of his internship in 2014, Wynand moved to Kimberley and started his career by working at the government hospital. After four years with the government, Wynand and Elanie opened Germishuys and van den Berg Orthotics and Prosthetics.
