HENDERSON - Key Persons
Adam came to us in 2020 as a surveyor who enjoys challenges and figuring out more efficient ways of doing things. You will typically find him on the computer preparing data for stakeout or in the field providing whatever measurements the superintendents require to help with the success of our projects.
Adam is from Williamsburg and is married with one child. When not digging into technology he enjoys doing home improvement projects.

Since 2014, Amy has been working hard at keeping our project paperwork straight. Her strong work ethic and her willingness to help everyone makes her the "go to gal," and she enjoys being able to do it. Her best memories of Henderson usually involve our annual woodcut and the Pantheon project at Busch Gardens.
Her love of kids, dogs, crafting, and baking keeps her busy when she's not at the office. She and her daughter are a dynamic duo of energy, and her cupcakes are divine!

Amy's day-to-day consists of project administration and accounting, and she describes her day as busy jumping from one project to another. With great multitasking and organizational skills, she keeps the Project Managers on their toes! Amy's favorite memory at Henderson, Inc. was working on site at one of our Senior Living Facility projects.
When she is not at work, she loves hanging out with her pets, crafting, and spending time with family including her husband Ben, who also works at Henderson, Inc. And you will probably also catch her jamming out to some 80's music.

Angie brings with her a tremendous depth of private and public accounting experience. Her organization and multi-tasking abilities help her keep up with a plethora of projects at Henderson, Inc. concerning not just accounting but property and tenant management.
When she's not at work you will probably find her hanging out at home with her fiancé watching Netflix or crocheting. And if she's lucky her daughter and grandson might be there too.
Ben joined Henderson in 2016. He says every day is a new challenge for him as Superintendent. To be the best Superintendent he can be, he brings his customer service skills, ability to motivate, and his positive attitude to work. His favorite project so far has been the Williamsburg Resort.
Ben is Virginia-born and raised. He is married to fellow Henderson team member Amy, and has two kids, two dogs, and one cat. In his free time, you can find him building drag racing bikes or listening to some Bob Dylan.
This Director of First Impressions takes her job very seriously and is also a tremendous support to our office. She is never without a smile, is highly organized, and makes our guests feel special.
Mr. Mason has had decades of experience in the construction industry beginning as a working Superintendent for a small GC based in Arizona. In 2006, he returned to his home in Watertown, NY to begin work with a GC as a Quality Control Manager. This role allowed him to gain experience in construction best practices, RFP management, and document coordination while working alongside the Army Corp of Engineers.
After a successful career in Quality Control, he was elevated to the role of PM in Virginia where his experience helped to maintain budgets through accurate cost reporting, maintaining schedules, and limiting change orders through proper document review. Finally, after years on the road he was able to settle into the role of Preconstruction Manager where he is now able to put all these skills to work through value engineering, budgeting, constructability, and design efforts.
As Director of Operations, Brian helps support the Project Management Team and Superintendents with the construction of our projects. His "leadership through service" style helps generate and nurture our culture, which continues to be a strong component to our success.
Brian has many loves in his life. His wife Lori, their three young children, baseball, the outdoors, and being in the gym are just a few. He also loves coaching youth baseball and working with local talent on their physical training.
Brian has been with Henderson since 2014. As a Superintendent, he brings a firm understanding of what subcontractors need in order for them to do their job most efficiently. He gets the most satisfaction from watching his team grow and succeed. The Monticello Shopping Center project has been one of his favorites so far.
Brian was born and raised in Gloucester, VA. He has his hands full with threechocolate labs named Mossy Oak, Fiocchi, and Al Capone. If he is not working, he is most likely tending to the dogs, studying to be a fly fishing guide, or traveling.

Since 1995, Bruce has brought his most to each project. A typical day as a General Superintendent involves supporting his team in every way that he can. The man otherwise known as, "The Fixer" has many fond memories and projects from his time at Henderson but the one that sticks out the most is the housing projects on one of our government facilities.
Bruce was born and raised in Williamsburg, VA where he continues to reside with his wife, Amy. They also have the blessing of 3 adult children and a grandchild. He enjoys spending time outdoors with close friends.
Carl has over 4 decades of experience in the building construction industry. Hailing from New York he has found his way to Williamsburg and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge.
This Jimmy Buffet loving man has been married for over 40 years and has four daughters and still manages to find time to go fishing. He is also fond of supporting and helping those that reach out for it.

Caroline makes sure that our company has the greatest events and that our employees have access to all the information they need. Her creative skills and never-ending dedication to our team since 2009 are true assets. Caroline's day is never typical and involves everything from visiting job sites to creating events.
Caroline is a Williamsburg native and is married with one step son and two dogs that she truly adores.
When Chris first came to Henderson, Inc. he helped in our shop. He quickly realized this was a place of growth and opportunity and set his sights on learning all that he could learn. He now works directly with our project teams as a Site Project Engineer.
Daniel has been with Henderson since 2006. He brings his vast knowledge of all scopes of construction to his role as Superintendent. Most days are extremely busy as he is in charge of controlling the job site and all the people on the site. His favorite project at Henderson has been the Montross Shooting Range project.
Daniel has not been a Virginian his whole life as he hails from Houston, Texas. Outside of work, he can be found spending time with his two daughters, Autumn and Ava.
Darrell has been with Henderson since 1998. As a Pipe Superintendent, he uses his ability to get people to "buy-in" to get the job done. He is also one of our mentors who is helping to educate the next generation of Henderson, Inc.
Even though Virginia is where Darrell resides now, he is originally from Miami, FL. On his off-time, Darrell likes to spend time with family and his dog, Sparkle.
Since 2000, Dave has brought his problem-solving skills to the role of Safety Director. Dave's favorite Henderson project so far has been The Elizabeth City Rescue Swimmer Training Facility.
Originally from New Orleans, LA, Dave likes to spend his time away from work with wife, Tamy, their two children, and their dog. If he isn't with family you can find him listening to music, playing guitar, or playing Dungeons & Dragons.
Dennis is a passionate superintendent dedicated to making his projects a success. He enjoys working with Clients and Subcontractors as well as mentoring our next generation in our company.
Since 2000, Erich has brought his amazing ability to Henderson, Inc. in his role as Project Superintendent. On a day to day basis, you can find him on job sites managing subcontractors and co-workers to get the job done as efficiently as possible. Some of his fondest memories at work come from all the new experiences he faces every day!
When he is not at work, he is most likely hanging out with his wife of over 25 years, 1 son, 2 daughters, and 3 dogs! Outside of family time, you may catch him rocking out to some heavy-metal or some good ole yacht rock.
Since 2002, Frank has brought a strong work ethic and shown the willingness to learn and grow as a site superintendent. One of his favorite projects to date is the O'Gara Training project.

Since 2017 Greg has been bringing his calm approach and level headed thinking to Henderson, Inc. He describes his days in business development and helping the site department as everything from well organized to chaotic but strives to always be helpful and supportive. His favorite project so far was the New Kent Fire Station which makes sense since he is a retired firefighter from James City County.
When Greg isn't at work you will most certainly find him with friends or his family. Happily married with four adult children and several grandchildren he can always be found smiling. When he isn't with them he enjoys the outdoors, spending time with friends, supporting public safety workers and Relay for Life.

There is no such thing as a "typical" day at Henderson, Inc. for Heather. She is heavily involved in the project procurement processes, and she has spent a good portion of the 21st Century bringing her creativity and helpful spirit to Henderson, Inc. With too many memories to count at Henderson, Inc., there is one that sticks out for her - Heather met her husband while working at Henderson!
Speaking of her husband, they have 2 boys and 3 dogs, and currently live on the outskirts of Williamsburg. When she is not at work, you can probably find her working out, traveling, or spending time at the Bay with her husband and dogs.
Jerome has been with Henderson since 2002. What he brings to his role as Superintendent is a deep knowledge of the different scopes of work that are needed to complete the job. Aside from being a big fan of the company Christmas parties, Jerome's favorite memory is when he worked on the Great Wolf Lodge project.
Originally from Massachusetts, Jerome and his girlfriend are now raising their three children here in Virginia. If Jerome is not on the job site managing subcontractors, you can probably find him in the woods hunting or out on the water fishing.
Jerry came to Henderson Inc in 2023 with nearly three decades on construction experience. His experience, attitude, and overall knowledge of the industry make him a great asset to any project he works on.
Jim came to us in 2002 and spent 13 years with us, left for a while, and found his way back in 2017. His ability to understand what the team needs, and his knowledge of the job is what makes him a good Superintendent. One of his favorite projects to date has been the Shenkman Jewish Center.
Originally from Lancaster County, VA Jim likes to spend his time hanging out with his family, especially his grandkids. He also really enjoys woodworking.
In 2017, Joey joined Henderson, Inc. as one of our Site Estimators. Transitioning to Project Engineer, Joey comes to work every day bringing a willingness to learn and work well with others as he goes about doing his daily tasks.
Before making his way to Virginia, Joey was down in Jacksonville, Alabama. He has one son named Bryant. In his time away from work, he is either fishing with his son, coaching football, or working out. He is also a member of the National Guard.
Judy's typical day in the Accounts Payable department is a pretty busy one. She has been with us since 2016 and has always shown herself to be a team player. One of her favorite parts of her job is simply helping team members in whatever way that she can.
Richmond, VA is where Judy used to call home before making her way here. In her spare time, she loves doing anything outdoors especially if she can be with one of her four dogs, Lucy, Sadie, Charles, or Mika.

Julie has been with Henderson since 1995. She highly values a positive team approach in order to get the job done. Her strengths of developing relationships, organization and meticulous detail are a vital part of many project successes. Her favorite project was 20 miles of the Va. Capital Trail, as it included interesting challenges, and is ultimately enjoyed by so many in our area. Julie initiated the Henderson, Inc. High School Mentorship Program, and welcomes the opportunity to educate young people about careers available in our industry.
Julie is originally from Lynchburg, VA. She has been married to her husband, Steve since 1984. They have one son, Patrick, and a chocolate lab, Charlie Brown. Julie's favorite activities outside of work include boating, fishing, gardening, and yearly vacations with family to Emerald Isle.
Since 2017, Kerry has worked her way up to Compliance Administrator. In this role, she is in charge of making sure our subcontractors are up to date on their paperwork. One of her best attributes is the fact she is literally always smiling. She also loves attending many of our events and helping set them up.
Kerry's favorite things include her family which is made up of her husband, Josh, their daughters, and dog. She is originally from Massachusetts and was in Pennsylvania before making her way to Virginia.
Kimberly's day-to-day at Henderson consists of everything from reviewing submittals to helping manage the flow of project information. Her previous experience as a field superintendent helps her perform her job at a higher level of understanding. Her favorite memory at Henderson is when she was an intern at the Williamsburg Landing project, but her favorite project was her first solo project at Liebherr in Newport News.
From Chesapeake, Virginia, Kimberly is married and has a beautiful daughter, Madeline, as well as two cats, Lane and Shea. When Kimberly is away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, camping, reading, shopping, and travelling.
Linda came to us in 2020 as a Senior Accountant. She has decades of experience both with numbers and the construction industry making her a perfect fit. After a long day of crunching numbers, spreadsheets, projections, and tax returns, she enjoys evenings relaxing with her Doberman and weekends visiting her son.
Matt has been with Henderson since 2010 as a Superintendent. Every day Matt comes to work with the intention to have fun, but also get the job done as his job is to manage the subcontractors and keep the job on schedule. His favorite project he has worked on was Verbolten at Busch Gardens mainly because it was his first roller coaster. He also enjoyed working on the St Bede Church project where his family has been members since 1976.
Matt is originally from Hampton before moving to Williamsburg where he still resides on the same land his parents bought back in 1961. He has 6 kids and a beagle named Peanut. When he is not working, he is still working outside but around his house. He says it helps him think but he is learning how to relax more. He also enjoys hunting and fishing when he can.
Mickey has been with us since 1997 working his way through the site side and transitioning in late 2020 from Site Superintendent to Site Estimator. Going from "Dirt Artist" to an estimator has been an easy transition. His strengths include being organized and the ability to communicate and build relationships. Mickey has numerous projects he has enjoyed but considers the Pantheon roller coaster at Busch Gardens one of the best.
Mickey is Williamsburg born and raised. He has a wife named Nicole and together they have four kids. They also have two dogs and a fish to complete the family. He is the happiest when he and his wife hop in their ‘68 Camaro and just drive.
Mike is a Project Manager and has been with us since 1999. A typical day for Mike is coordinating with subcontractors and managing job costs. One of the best skills Mike has is his ability to build relationships with people.
Mike is VA born and raised. He is married to his wife, Megan and they have two kids and two dogs. He is happiest when he gets to be anywhere outside, more specifically fishing, being out on the water, or at the beach.
Since 2017, Miriam has been bringing her high analytical skills and forward-thinking mindset to all her roles in accounting. We were grateful to make her our CFO in February of 2022. This self-proclaimed, "Chaos Coordinator" spends most of her days helping other team members and troubleshooting. Her favorite thing about Henderson is the family atmosphere and its culture.
Miriam most definitely has a full schedule. When she is not at work you can almost always find her working out or riding her horse. Her ultimate goal is showing in The FEI levels.
