Adrian Schwarz

Adrian is a Principal at HPE Growth where he is responsible for the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities, market analysis, due diligence and portfolio management. Besides his involvement in the origination and execution of new investments, Adrian is active in the portfolio management of HPE Growth's investments in Zava, EGYM, Xempus, Strohm and Airborne. Prior to joining HPE Growth in August 2019, Adrian was an Associate at Lincoln International, a global mid-market investment banking boutique, where he worked in Frankfurt and Los Angeles and successfully completed multiple international M&A transactions across a variety of sectors. Adrian holds a BSc. in business administration and engineering from RWTH Aachen University with a focus on materials and process engineering.

Amaury de Buyser

Amaury is a Vice President at HPE Growth. He is responsible for sourcing growth stage investment opportunities, market analysis and due diligence. Amaury primarily focuses on HPE Growth's Fintech and Enterprise Software verticals. In addition to covering prospective leads, Amaury is involved in HPE Growth's marketing efforts and the portfolio management of HPE Growth's investments in Uberall, WeTransfer, NGData and EGYM. Prior to joining HPE Growth, Amaury gained experience in early-stage VC at Mangrove Capital, in private equity at Edmond de Rothschild and was the founder of a technology start-up incubated in Silicon Valley. Amaury holds a Master of Science in Finance from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Queen Mary University.

Andrea Valdivia

Andrea is a Junior Marketing Coordinator at HPE Growth, where she is responsible for marketing and public relations. In her role, she coordinates and supports all marketing efforts and supports the Capital Formation team in fundraising efforts. Her work entails digital marketing and strategic communication. Prior to HPE, Andrea worked as a communications assistant, writer and photographer in Amsterdam. Andrea started her work in HPE as Investor Relations and Marketing intern before joining the team full time in 2023. Andrea holds a BSc. honours degree in Communication Science from the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Originally from Peru, she enjoys reading, photographing and exploring nature.

Ayoni Guda

Ayoni is Head of ESG & Compliance Officer at HPE Growth. In her role, she is responsible for developing and overseeing HPE's ESG strategy and framework as well as the relevant ESG and SFDR reporting and disclosures requirements. Ayoni is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to the various applicable rules and regulations with respect to operations, compliance, legal and tax related matters. Prior to joining HPE Growth, Ayoni gained valuable experience in Ernst & Young's tax advisory practice as a consultant for international tax and transaction services where she focused primarily on topics related to transfer pricing, DAC6 and technology implementation. Before joining Ernst & Young, Ayoni gained international experience through internships at KPMG in New York and in Rotterdam. In addition, while pursuing her degree she was a working student for almost 2 years in the International Tax practice at Loyens & Loeff (Rotterdam), a leading Dutch tax law firm. Ayoni holds a BSc. in Tax Law and Economics from the University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam, and a MSc. in Tax Law from Tilburg University.

Danai is a Vice President Investors Relations at HPE Growth. In her role, she leads and supports the public and investor relations function. Prior to HPE, Danai was an Investment and Investor Relations Associate at Goodwell Investments, an early-stage technology private equity firm focused on emerging markets and impact investing. Originally from Zimbabwe, Danai has various passions, from mentoring early-stage businesses to sitting on advisory boards. Danai is an advisory member of Private Equity International. Danai holds a BCom. In Politics Philosophy and Economics and a postgraduate honours degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town. She enjoys exploring new wines and culinary experiences.

Frederic Huynen

Frederic is a Partner at HPE Growth where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and deal execution of prospective investment opportunities in growth stage technology companies. Frederic has expertise in FinTech, Enterprise Software, and over the last few years has gained deep knowledge on the broader market of ClimateTech. He is active in portfolio management, looking after investments in PPRO, AEVI, NGData, and Xempus. Prior to joining HPE in 2012, Frederic build up international experience and concluded internships in a wide range of sectors. He holds an MSc. degree in Accounting and Finance, with distinction, from the London School of Economics and an MSc. degree in Business Engineering from the University of Leuven where he graduated magna cum laude. Frederic is a native of Belgium who is passionate about travelling, winter sports and enjoys fine food and a glass of wine.

Harry Dolman

Since 2009, Harry has been Partner at HPE Growth and spends most of his time helping Portfolio Companies fulfill their growth strategies. Prior to HPE, Harry spent 17 years as an executive at the Walt Disney Company where he was EVP at Disney Consumer Products in Los Angeles and Paris. He also worked at Nutricia (now Danone) in the Netherlands and Unilever in Australia. Harry holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc. from Delft University and is fluent in 4 languages. When not working at HPE, Harry enjoys cooking, sailing, remodelling houses and spending time with his French wife, US daughter and Italian dog.

Imre is the controller of HPE Growth. In his role, he is responsible for financial control and accounting matters. He maintains and establishes systems and processes to enable the timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting. Prior to HPE Growth, Imre spent over two years as Financial Account Manager at Intertrust Group, servicing Private Equity clients mainly from the United States and the United Kingdom. Here he assisted with maintaining the financial well-being of investment vehicles. Imre holds an MSc. degree in Financial Economics and a BSc. degree in Economics and Business Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

Laura Kone

Prior to joining HPE Growth in April 2022, Laura was part of JP Morgan's London-based Equity Research team, where she covered over 16 stocks in payments, semiconductors and telecommunications equipment. Laura holds a MSc. degree in Finance and Data Analytics from King's College London as well as a BSc. degree in Economics with a specialization in Emerging Markets from Maastricht University.

Manfred Krikke

As a partner at HPE Growth, Manfred is jointly responsible for building the firm and its investment strategy. He is part of the Management Team, oversees the firm's investment activities and chairs the investment committee. He serves on the boards of and works closely with HPE portfolio companies eGym, Uberall, WeTransfer and NGData. Manfred has over 25 years of technology experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker and investor, primarily in Silicon Valley, where he managed over 30 transactions in the technology sector, with an aggregate value of over $2 Billion, including 16 Nasdaq IPOs. As an entrepreneur and part of the senior management team, Manfred took a silicon valley start-up backed by Kleiner Perkins and TCV from an idea through significant growth and eventually a highly successful Nasdaq IPO. After spending time in the entrepreneurial trenches he first started investing in technology and growth companies at TPG Capital, where he was one of the founding partners of TPG Ventures (which later became TPG Growth).

Marian Hendriks

Since 2021, Marian is an Office Manager at HPE Growth. In her role, she ensures that the office stays organized, supporting the team with agenda management, travel logistics, meetings and back-office administration. Prior to HPE, Marian worked in various industries including Financial Services, Logistics and Travel. Based in the Netherlands, Marian obtained a diploma in Tourism and Management. In her free time, she enjoys spending her time teaching and practicing yoga, spending time with friends and reading.

Nigel Diesveld - CFO, Chief Risk Officer

Nigel is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of HPE Growth. He is part of the Management Team and is responsible for the main part of the back-office, including IT, HR, risk, finance and accounting. Nigel oversees the financial controls, risk management processes and the reporting of HPE and its investment vehicles, including the quarterly reporting to our (limited) partners.

Philipp Nieland

Philipp Nieland is Chairman of the GP Advisory Board at HPE Growth. He moved into his current role as Chairman in 2023, in which he will actively support the partnership in strengthening the firm as minority shareholder. Prior to HPE, Philipp has founded several successful tech companies across the globe, including Dock Financial and PPRO. PPRO is HPE Growth's first FinTech investment and contributed to the early success of the investment platform. As co-founder of one of our portfolio companies, Philipp has been working together with HPE for the past 11 years to grow his digital business. Philipp also founded Avalanche Investments GmbH in 2012, where he acted as CEO for 9 years until 2021. Philipp currently leads the Nieland Family Office as Founder, and continues being involved as serial entrepreneur and FinTech investor.

Stefan Brugman - CCO, Chief Legal Officer, Chief Risk Officer

Stefan is the General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer at HPE Growth. He is part of the Management Team and is responsible for all the legal affairs of HPE as well as compliance and risk management. Stefan is involved in both fund and portfolio matters. His work encompasses transaction management and execution, legal due diligence, legal advise, negotiating and drafting contracts. He joined HPE in 2013. Prior to HPE, Stefan worked for 12 years at two leading Dutch law firms. The first 8 years he was with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam. Thereafter, he joined Stibbe in Amsterdam, where he spent 2 years in their London office. At Stibbe, Stefan already advised HPE on various matters.

Tim van Delden - CEO, Founder

Tim is Founding Partner at HPE Growth and is part of the Management Team. While being involved in both the investment and through board seats in portfolio work, in his role he is responsible for firm building, the overall investment strategy and investor relations. Tim started his career with Morgan Stanley's investment banking department as part of the European M&A execution team. Subsequently, he joined General Atlantic Partners and the Avenue Capital Group respectively. In his years at General Atlantic Partners, Tim focused on technology growth equity investments in Europe. At the Avenue Capital Group, his focus was on Special Situations investing across various verticals and securities, where he headed the German-speaking operations. Tim is also an Expert Evaluator for the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) of the European Commission. Tim holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology in Aachen in Germany. He is German and enjoys spending time on the golf and tennis course, and is engaged in various charitable functions.
