The genus name "cacao" (the chocolate tree) is derived from a Greek word meaning "food of the gods." Since ancient times, cacao has been revered as a sacred food and used as an offering in rituals and special ceremonies. We have captured the mysterious energy of cacao in an invisible fragrance... This octagonal tray is crafted with precision as if a large flower is in full bloom. Each petal-shaped piece is meticulously carved from solid KEYAKI wood and skillfully assembled using the traditional "SASHIMONO" joinery techniques of Wajima.
