Frank MUBANGIZI

Frank MUBANGIZI obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda; he is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association and has been in Private Law Practice since 2006. He is a partner at Kigali Allied Advocates. Prior to joining the firm Frank worked as a prosecutor with the Ministry of Justice for a period of six years. He has worked as lead counsel for clients in labour, Civil and commercial litigations in Rwandan courts of Law. He is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda, has excellent command of English and a working knowledge of French and Swahili. He is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association, East African Law Society (EALS).

Jacqueline BAKAMURERA

Jacqueline has been an Assistant Attorney General in charge of coordinating Community Programs, Human Rights and Legal Aid Services, in the Ministry of Justice from October 2007 to April 2014. This Department deals with among others with the promotion of Human Rights, Provision of Legal Aid services to the vulnerable and the needy and also in charge of Civil Status officers, Notary Officers, Professional and non-Professional Bailiffs, as well as Access to Justice Bureaus (MAJ) at the District level. Before joining the Ministry of Justice, She was in the Judiciary where she held the position of the President of the Intermediate Courts from 2003 to 2007. She was also the vice - president of the Court of first Instance of Umutara from 2001 to 2003, a post she held after she was a judge since 2000. Jacqueline holds an LL.B Degree from the National University of Rwanda and currently she is pursuing a Post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the Institute of Legal Practice and Development in Rwanda. She has also been a member of the executive council of the Professional Bailiffs Association, and a member of their disciplinary committee.

Johnson Kabera - CEO

Johnson Kabera is the Managing Partner at Kigali Allied Advocates. He is a trained arbitrator and a Fellow from the Chartered institute of Arbitration, London. He is a trained arbitrator and a Fellow form the Chartered institute of Arbitration, London. Before joining Kigali Allied Advocates, Johnson worked as a prosecutor for a period of six years starting the year 2000. He holds a Bachelor`s Degree in Law from the National University of Rwanda obtained in 1999 and currently about to complete his Masters in business Law from the National University of Rwanda. He has attended many trainings and obtained different certificates including a Certificate in International Trade and Development (Trade Policy Training Centre for Africa, Arusha, Tanzania May 2010, Certificate course for the Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, 2011 and many others in the Justice Sector. More to his experience in criminal matters from his work as a prosecutor, he is very familiar with labour laws and between July and Dec 2009 he was hired as one of the consultants to draft 15 Ministerial Orders to implement the Law regulating labour in Rwanda.
