David has been building early stage technology companies as an investor, founder or senior member of the executive team for over 20 years. Prior to co-founding Luge Capital, David was an investor with Inovia Capital, a leading North American venture capital fund. Before becoming a VC, David was president of Callio Technologies, an information security compliance software provider, whose intellectual property was acquired in 2009. Prior to running Callio, he managed business development, partnerships and marketing at Pivotal Payments (now Nuvei, TSX:NVEI). Nuvei, Canada's most successful IPO, now processes $34B in payment volume for over 80,000 merchants worldwide.
David has a BCom with a major in Marketing and a minor in Finance from Concordia University in Montreal.

Jean-Philippe Brosseau is a Finance Manager at Luge Capital. Prior to that, Jean-Philippe was working in Private Equity at CDPQ, a pension fund with over $300 billion AUM worldwide. Before that, he interned at both the exempt market dealer Alternative Capital Group in investment banking and then at Investissement Québec where he assisted the venture capital team with early-stage investments.
Jean-Philippe holds a Bachelor and Master's degree in Business Administration and Finance from Université de Sherbrooke. He is also a CFA charterholder after successfully completing his CFA Level III exam.

Karim has an extensive background in fintech, mobile tech, engineering, finance and strategy. Prior to co-founding Luge, Karim led Corporate Development and M&A activities for PayPal in Canada. Before that, Karim started the Corporate Development practice at Xoom, a leading cross-border remittance company that was publicly-listed on the NASDAQ in 2013 and subsequently acquired by PayPal in 2015 for USD $890M. Prior to Xoom, Karim led M&A and strategic investments for BlackBerry in Silicon Valley. Karim was also responsible for establishing BlackBerry's largest partnerships, and he developed the company's overall strategy for mobile payments and commerce, including NFC payments, P2P and App World. Karim spent several years working for Redknee Solutions in the UK where he designed telecom network infrastructures, including mobile money solutions, for operators in East Africa and Western Europe.
Karim has a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MSc in Finance and Economic Policy from the University of London and an LLM Master of Laws from the University of Toronto. Karim is a Kauffman Fellow, a Charter Member of the C100, a Board Advisor for Village Capital and a member of the Fintech Advisory Committee for the Ontario Securities Commission.
Khrystyna is an Investment Analyst at Luge Capital where she sources new investment opportunities, participates in due diligence, manages transactional matters, and provides ongoing support to Luge portfolio companies. Prior to Luge, Khrystyna was in-house legal counsel at Genesis, one of the largest tech businesses in Ukraine, and Flyer One Ventures, a venture capital fund that invests in early-stage companies across Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to that, Khrystyna was an M&A and private capital lawyer with Baker McKenzie, out of their Kyiv office.
Khrystyna moved to Canada in early 2022 from Western Ukraine. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kyiv, Ukraine) and a Master's degree in International Business Law (LLM) from Central European University (Budapest, Hungary).

Laviva is a Principal at Luge Capital where she sources for new fintech investment opportunities, conducts due diligence, helps execute deals, supports portfolio companies and helps develop the firm's investment thesis. Previously, she was an analyst at Ferst Capital Partners (FCP), a fintech focused investment firm and startup foundry. At FCP, she helped build fintech portfolio companies and supported their operations and fundraising activities and assessed new investment opportunities. Laviva is also involved with various organizations as an advisor including Founder Institute, Front Row Ventures, Holt Accelerator, InsurTechNY and InsurTech North. She was selected to be on the 2017 Global Women in FinTech Powerlist and on Canada's 2019 Top 50 Women in Fintech by Digital Finance Institute.

Rohan is an Investment Analyst at Luge Capital where he works closely with the investment team in sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, deal execution, and supporting Luge portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Luge, Rohan held roles in venture capital at iGan Partners, product analytics at Affirm (NASDAQ: AFRM), product management at Mattermost (Y-Combinator Summer 2012 cohort), product growth at Loblaw Digital, and digital strategy at CIBC.
Born and raised in Toronto, he holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where he co-founded the UW Varsity Rowing program.
