- Executive Director of Administration With
Aaron R. Osborne is the Executive Director of Administration with Mountain View Humane. In this role, Aaron manages the internal administration of the organization, overseeing and providing strategic, forward-thinking leadership in the areas of finance, human resources and front office administration. He holds his Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Radford University along with a SAS Joint Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics issued by the SAS Institute. Some of his other professional certifications include Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg Portfolio Management and Microsoft Office Specialist Expert. Prior to starting his career with Mountain View Humane in April 2021, Aaron spent 4 years helping manage Radford University's Student Managed Investment Portfolio Organization. During his time with them, he was the Senior Analyst managing the Basic Materials and Financial Sectors. In addition, Aaron is a member of the Financial Management Association (FMA) and American Association of Individual Investors (AAII). Aaron has an 8 year old Chihuahua named Roxy and a 2 year old Chihuahua named Bowie. Roxy was rescued from DC and Bowie came from South Carolina. Both dogs enjoy the outdoors but neither are fans of water. He also has a bearded dragon named Mufasa along with several crested geckos. Aaron chose to work at Mountain View because he wanted to align his educational qualifications with his personal love for animals. What a perfect fit! Allicia is an Office Assistant at Mountain View Humane. In this role, she assists with appointment scheduling, intake and discharge of all the lovely animals coming in and out of our spay/neuter clinic. Prior to joining Mountain View Humane staff in 2023, Allicia graduated from Virginia Tech in 2022 with a B.S. in Animal Sciences. Allicia is drawn to the Veterinary field and has applied to Vet school. Allicia resides with her three dachshunds Tobey, Hazel, and Lucy with a new addition, and two cats named Cashew and Gooseberry! Allicia enjoys our community and being able to help provide low cost services to our community and their pets. She loves working with the amazing team at Mountain View and looks forward to helping upholds its mission.
Amy is the Front Office Manager at Mountain View Humane. In this role, she is to responsible for the business activities of the front office in order to promote to advance the organization's mission. Prior to joining Mountain View Humane in October 2020, Amy worked as a Veterinary Assistant for the past 14 years at full-service clinics as well as the Roanoke Valley SPCA. She has two Yorkshire Terriers (Thelma Lou and Lucinda), a Golden mix named Penny, and a Border Collie named Cota. Sadie, Thelma Lou and Lucinda were all rescued from the Roanoke Valley SPCA, Penny from Franklin County, and Cota from West Virginia. Amy has a degree from Virginia Western Community College and also has 2 Fear Free Certificates. Amy chose to work at Mountain View Humane because after working in private practice and shelter medicine, she wanted to expand her knowledge as well as take on new opportunities within the organization.
Cat is the Office & Transport Coordinator at Mountain View Humane. In this role, she serves as liaison with the clinic and patients, handles all medical data entry, medical paperwork and post-surgical patient contact, as well as conducts all transports, ensuring that proper safety and clinic standards are met before, during and after transport. She also drives, fuels and handles all aspects of the mobile spay/neuter clinic, which ensures that the mobile clinic is bringing services to communities throughout southwest Virginia, especially those with travel barriers. Before joining Mountain View in 2022, Cat ran and operated her own grooming business, was a veterinary assistant for seven years for a private practice in New Jersey, at the same as serving as the grooming manager for Petco for six years. Cat attended Brookdale Community College for auto technician and is a certified pet groomer with licenses and schooling through Petco, even shadowing a master groomer for a year before graduating. Cat lives on a 52-acre farm with chickens, goats and pigs. She has a female Pitbull named Sassy that she rescued when Sassy was only three weeks old after her mother was hit by a car. Her 10 year old cat, Riggs, came from a friend who was unable to keep him as a kitten. Riggs became the grooming shop cat, greeting customers and pets. He now enjoys his retirement with all of his farm animal friends. The newest addition to the family is Rebel, a two year old Belgian Malinois she rescued in November 2021. Farm life suits Rebel's energy level, allowing him to run with the four-wheelers and swim with Sassy every chance they get. Cat chose to work for Mountain View to work alongside others who are passionate about pets and animal care. She wanted a job that helps make a difference in the lives of people and animals.
Dr. Amber Lee is a Veterinarian and the Medical Director for Mountain View Humane. In this role, Dr. Lee leads the medical team in providing all aspects of medical care of patients, including pain management, surgical prep, anesthetic care, surgery, and recovery. Dr. Lee received her Bachelor of Science from University of Maryland, College Park in 2009 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Prior to joining the Mountain View Humane staff in 2020, Amber spent seven years in small animal general practice in Maryland and Virginia. When she is not working at Mountain View Humane, Amber enjoys cooking, baking, and hiking. Amber and her husband currently reside in Christiansburg, VA, with Dory, a black miniature poodle.

- Veterinary Technician With
Ginny is the lead licensed veterinary technician with Mountain View Humane since May 2022. In this role, Ginny coordinates all aspects of surgery including anesthetic induction, surgical preparation, and recovery monitoring, as well as managing all support medical staff. Prior to starting at Mountain View, she worked in private veterinary practice for 12 years. Ginny holds an associates degree in veterinary technology from San Juan College, and plans to pursue her bachelor's in the near future. She has two beloved pets. Kujo is a 14 year old mixed breed who is considered her first child. Raya is a crazy 1 year old tabby cat who adds joy and laughter into everyday life. Ginny really loves working with the amazing team at Mountain View and looks forward to helping uphold it's mission.

- Marketing and Communications Director With
Julie Rickmond is the Marketing and Communications Director with Mountain View Humane. In this role, Julie manages all aspects of advertising and marketing including media appearances, website and social media communications, and print design. Prior to joining Mountain View Humane, Julie spent over 15 years as an Art Director for a national outdoor advertising agency in addition to running her own freelance graphic design & fine art business. Julie joined Mountain View Humane in July 2020 and she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Virginia Tech.
She lives at home with her husband and their five fabulous rescued cats and one very goofy and loveable rescued Rottweiler. Julie joined the Mountain View Humane because she loves all animals and is especially passionate about ending pet homelessness in our community.

Laurie Gibbons is the Executive Director of Mission Delivery for Mountain View Humane. Laurie's role includes forward-thinking leadership in fundraising, communications, volunteer administration, and program development. Laurie brings extensive non-profit leadership experience to Mountain View Humane. She looks forward to shaping the organization's overall direction and future success.
Laurie has received many awards for marketing and communications, financial growth, program excellence, and fundraising, including "Fund Raiser of the Year" by AFP VA, Blue Ridge Chapter. Laurie is a dog lover and has raised a Golden Retriever, two Yorkies, and a Shih Tzu-Maltese mix over the years. For now, she loves on the pets we care for at Mountain View Humane every day. Laurie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling whenever possible.

- Veterinary Technician With Mountain View
Rebecca is a licensed veterinary technician with Mountain View's licensed veterinary technicians. She graduated with her associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Blue Ridge Community College in 2015 and worked in general practice before joining Mountain View in December 2021. She shares her home with her 5-year-old cat Widget who was rescued from the streets of Blacksburg. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys reading, bowling, going to the movies, kayaking, and hanging out with friends.
Shelly is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with Mountain View Humane.
Sierra is an Office Assistant at Mountain View Humane. In this role, she assists with appointment scheduling, intake and discharge of all the lovely animals coming in and out of our spay/neuter clinic. Prior to joining Mountain View Humane staff in 2023, Sierra obtained her Associates in Science from New River Community College. Sierra resides with her 2 cats Nala and Pita, and four dogs Wheezie, Sadie, Bandit and Fancy! Sierra enjoys our community and being able to help provide low cost services to our clients and their pets. She loves working with the amazing team at Mountain View and looks forward to helping upholds its mission.
Valerie is a veterinary and office assistant at Mountain View Humane since May 2022. She is responsible prepping the cats and dogs brought in for spay/neuter and taking care of them after surgery in addition to being one of the faces of our organization helping schedule and assist with our clients. Valerie graduated Virginia Tech in 2021 with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences and is in the process of applying to veterinary schools. At home with her significant other she has two feline fur babies named Pepsi and Rambo who are both 4 years old. They both came from the same litter and grew up with the family dogs. Now that they are older, they follow her everywhere and love watching when she is watering plants or cleaning fish tanks. Along with 6 aquariums, she has also added a new animal family member named Fresa who is a Pac-Man frog. She joined Mountain View to help end the cycle of future unwanted and homeless pets by spaying and neutering. Valerie also has the opportunity to gain new experiences on her way to veterinary school. She loves working with the team and helping the public by taking care of their furry family members as well as feral cats and shelter animals while they're with us.
