The world we live in is becoming more automated and screen-centered. At Nordic Sun we want to use authentic craftsmanship to create amazing sensory experiences, great conversations and awesome memories. All of our items are hand crafted from felled timber or uniquely procured lumber. One of our goals is to create the perfect wooden vessel for bourbon consumption!! Not all wood samples are suitable for making a cup though so sometimes a bowl or other turned vessel or even a travel mug is the end result. Check out the gallery for our current selection of walnut turnings. We also have some turnings in maple, cottonwood and hackberry that are in the drying process... We have been passionate about wood turning and creating other items for our own home for years now. We have decided to share that passion with others and leverage what we have learned to take on bigger projects. Two cedar strip canoes are currently being built. We can build one to your specification... Don't get caught up..
