Alexus Johnson

With a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Walden University, Alexus has more than 5 years in the behavioral health field working with children and adults in groups and one-on-one sessions. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Norfolk State University. Alexus focuses on trauma-informed care and holistic care. Alexus's passion is to counsel taking into account mental and social factors rather than just symptoms they are experiencing. Alexus currently provides Telehealth services to the community. " I am passionate about assisting clients by meeting them where they are and to help them recognize that there is hope, even when their brain tells them there isn't, keeping your peace is a big part of your treatment"

Betty Gray-Henson

Betty is a seasoned mental health pioneer with over 35 years of providing mental and behavioral health services to children and families through Intensive In-Home Services. She was born and grew up in Portsmouth and has lived in Norfolk for 27 years. She received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Norfolk State University. As a master level social worker, she was the first person to bring "Home-Based" services to Hampton Roads to prevent out of home placements and reduce recidivism of children. Betty believes that "family" is the best vehicle to raise children and parents are the guiding beacon to train and nurture them to become the independent human beings they aspire to be. She does her best work with teens who tend to be the most resilient and challenging. Betty enjoys working with those who have experienced trauma, sexual abuse, abandonment and who have made poor choices which have led to legal encounters. She is Gang Certified and also certified in Structural Family Therapy with over fifteen years of re-teaching those with sexually reactive/offensive behaviors. She brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, and abilities to the team at Providence Psychological Services as a mental health therapist. When she is not assisting others in finding their "Authentic Selves" She enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years, their adult sons, and their 2 handsome grandson.

Iesha Cuthrell

As a graduate of the Ethelyn R. Strong School of Social Work at Norfolk State University, Iesha is a MSW, Supervisee in Social Work whose therapeutic philosophy is person centered, as she looks at each of her clients from a holistic approach. Iesha's clinical mental health experience includes working with individuals, groups, youth, adults, elderly, families, active duty/retired military, and retry populations in a variety of settings (including the Hampton VA Medical Center, Sentara Hospital, and non-profits organizations). Iesha currently provides telehealth services only. "I am passionate about providing my clients with coping skills and tools that they can utilize in various aspects of their life, specializing in depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, emotional disturbance, coping Skills, and challenges with adjusting or managing stress.

Sydney Ferrer

Sydney Ferrer is an Outpatient Therapist with Providence Psychological Services (May 2023). She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness practices. Sydney is currently working towards obtaining her LCSW under the supervision of Dr. Ward.

Vicki Kellogg

Vicki joined the Providence Psychological Services team in 2019, as an LCSW supervisee. Vicki has a master's degree in Clinical Social Work with specialization in School Social Work, from Norfolk State University. Vicki strives to provide a culturally competent blend of experience, concern, and action to the therapeutic relationship with the individuals she serves. Vicki is invested in utilizing a variety of recognized therapeutic modalities, empowering adolescents and adults with the tools needed to manage behavioral, mental, and emotional issues. She is passionate about the collaborative approach to therapy helping her clients gain self-awareness, insight, and increased personal strengths to alleviate symptoms of self-doubt, worry, sadness, trauma, or hopelessness. Areas that she is experienced in are anxiety disorders, depression, trauma response, and substance use disorders/addiction.
