Andrew M. Brown

Andrew M. Brown, MD, an otolaryngologist trained at the Barns Hospital in St. Louis, MO, has been treating allergies and practicing Environmental Medicine since 1971. Patients now are treated from all over Alabama and 33 other states. He developed a treatment for Shingles in the early 70's that is effective in relieving all or part of the pain while the patient is still in the office as much as 80% of the time if treated in the first two weeks. He is married to Joan Holcomb Brown. Together, they have four children and ten grandchildren. In September of 2018 Dr. Brown was joined by Wendy Miller CRNP. Mrs. Miller is a graduate of UAB and brings clinical knowledge of common acute and chronic diseases to the practice thereby expanding the services offered while maintaining the Allergy Clinic to provide ongoing allergy treatment to its numerous patients. The name of the clinic was changed at that time to River City Allergy & Medical to encompass our newly added services.

Joan Brown

I have been an employee at ENT Associates of Gadsden since 1983. I started in the lab doing allergy testing. In 1985, Dr Brown and I married, and I became office manager.

Melanie Gulledge

Melanie graduated from Gadsden State Community College in 1999 with a certificate in practical nursing. She has been employed at ENT Associates of Gadsden since August of 2000.

Pam Moon

Pam Moon has been an Medical Lab Tech since finishing Gadsden State Community College in 1982. She is also a certified Allergy Technician. Pam is married to Patrick and they have one son named Jacob. Pam enjoys spending time with family and reading.

Phyllis Gargus

Phyllis began working part time here in June of 1991. She began her full time career with us June of 2000 when she became an Allergy Technician through American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergic Inc. Phyllis has attended many seminars held by the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. She enjoys singing and playing the piano at her church and spending time with her family.

Wendy Miller

Wendy Miller is our Nurse Practitioner and she is a graduate of the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). Wendy was an RN for 17 years prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner and has worked at Gadsden Regional Medical Center as well as other offices in the Gadsden area. Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge in common medical problems and is certified to care for patients ages 14 & up and has learned our allergy program from Dr. Brown. Wendy is married to John Miller, Library Director at Snead State Community College. Wendy and John live in Sardis City and have 3 sons Justin, Dalton and Logan who are all currently in college pursuing their Bachelor's degrees. They enjoy spending time as a family camping, kayaking and hiking.
