Having gained a degree in Forestry from Bangor University and following a career spanning 10 years in the private forestry sector, Joe Fielding established Red Rock Forestry as a sole trader in 1997. The objective was to provide a full range of forestry management and consultancy services to private landowners, government, and public institutions - offering a personal approach to help navigate the complex legislation surrounding this sector. Softwood timber harvesting in Wales was Joe's focus initially, but after a few years of honing his knowledge adding to his skills, this developed into tree planting, (large and small scale), timber marketing, woodland management, and grant applications.
