Alfonso Prat-Gay

A Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners, Alfonso Prat-Gay was until 2017 the Minister of the Treasury and Public Finance of Argentina. He was awarded Euromoney´s Finance Minister of the Year Award in 2016. Prior to that, he was National Deputy for the City of Buenos Aires from 2009 to 2013 and President of the Deputy Block of the Ari Civic Coalition. He also served as President of the Finance Commission in the Chamber of Deputies from 2011 to 2012. Between 2002 and 2004 he served as President of the Central Bank of Argentina, his tenure there leading to his being awarded Euromoney's Central Bank Governor of the Year Award in 2004. In the private sector, he was head of Currency Research in JPMorgan London (1999-2001). Prior to that, he was a member of the Economic Research team in JP Morgan in New York and Buenos Aires. He also served as Director of Macroeconomics Studies for the economic consulting company Alpa S.A., in Buenos Aires. Sr. Prat-Gay has a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Degree in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina (Suma Cum Laude).

Alfredo Moreno Charme

A Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners, Sr. Moreno Charme is a former Foreign Minister, Social Development Minister and Public Works Minister of Chile. He is also a former President of the Chilean Confederation of Production and Commerce. Sr. Moreno Charme currently holds a number of domestic and international roles, including as a member of the Advisory Board of the Human Rights Centre at the Harvard Kennedy School. He is also a board member of Falabella S.A.. Sr. Moreno Charme completed a degree in Industrial Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, graduating with Highest Distinction (Summa cum laude). He subsequently obtained an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a recipient of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Andrea Argueta Scheib

Andrea is an Associate Director at Brennan & Partners, where she is responsible for client engagement including the provision of analysis, market research and evaluation. She brings over a decade of experience of trade and sustainability policy, public-private sector strategic engagement and business development, covering the UK, the EU and Latin America. Prior to joining Brennan & Partners, Andrea worked for the Honduran Foreign Service, as Deputy Head of Mission to the European Union (2021-2022) and Deputy Head of Mission to the United Kingdom (2017-2021). She also served as Commercial Counsellor in London, where she worked to expand trade relations, promoting products and services in the UK market and forging relationships with investors to secure favourable business outcomes. Andrea began her career in investment banking in debt capital markets. She holds an MSc in Global Supply Chain Management from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass - City University) in London, having been awarded a Chevening Scholarship from the British Government and a degree in Economics from the University of Virginia in the United States. A sustainability enthusiast, Andrea holds a Sustainability & Climate Risk (SCR®) certification by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Andrew Cooper

A Senior Advisor at Brennan and Partners, Andrew served in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 1982 to 2008 posted overseas in Australia, Geneva in Switzerland and Stockholm. He subsequently led departments in European affairs, Counter Terrorism, Recruitment and Training, and the applications of Emerging Technologies. Prior to that he served ten years in the Royal Navy as a Submariner in Conventional, Polaris and Nuclear attack submarines. He has recently retired from ten years at BAE Systems, and previously four years with PwC, running small teams providing independent strategic analysis and advice on Defence and Security overseas, International affairs and Business opportunities to the leadership teams. Andrew received a CMG in 2006 for services to HMG overseas, is a fellow of the Royal Geographical society, a Liveryman of the Company of Shipwrights and a member of the RNLI Council. He has a degree in Geography and Land Law from Cambridge.

Bob Wigley

Bob Wigley is a Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners and Chair of UK Finance. He was EMEA Chair of Merrill Lynch between 2003 and 2009 and previously a member of the Court of the Bank of England from 2006 to 2009 as well as a member of the Financial Service's Takeover Panel. In 2008 he led a group of financial services Chairman and Chief Executives to author a report on the competitiveness of London as a global financial centre, and has also chaired the Green Investment Bank Commission. Outside of financial services he has served in a number of senior leadership positions, including as a director of Royal Mail Group plc and a member of the International Advisory Board of British Airways. He is an Honorary Fellow of Cambridge University's Judge Business School and a visiting Fellow of Oxford University's Saïd Business School.

Dr. Andrés Rugeles

A Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners, Dr. Andrés Rugeles has extensive experience in political risk and strategy, development banking, foreign policy and regional integration in Latin America. He is currently a member of the advisory board of the Global South Unit at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which analyses the relationship and trends of emerging countries and regions such as China, India, and Latin America. He is also an Associate Member at the Latin American Centre at the University of Oxford. He has served as Secretary of Transparency of Colombia, amongst other Colombian Government Cabinet-level positions. He has also served as Ambassador of Colombia to the United Nations in New York. Dr. Rugeles also has an acknowledged international career in development banking, holding the position of Secretary General of CAF - Development Bank of Latin America, amongst other roles at the institution. He regularly writes opinion pieces for international and national publications. His most recent book is "Latin America: the vision of its leaders". It was written during his visiting fellowship at the University of Oxford in 2023, and it addresses the main challenges the region faces. It is based on a series of 30 interviews with leaders (Presidents, former Presidents, and Presidents of multilateral institutions) and 55 articles from authorities and experts. In total it reflects the views of more than 100 key people in Latin America. Dr. Rugeles studied political science with a focus on Economics and Latin American studies at Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia). He holds an MSc in International Political Economy from the LSE. He was an Academic Visitor at the Latin American Centre at the University of Oxford. Furthermore, he has taken advanced courses at Harvard University, Georgetown University, and UC Berkeley.

Dr. José Antonio Meade

A Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners, Dr. José Antonio Meade Kuribreña has extensive experience in public administration, banking, and financial policy. Dr. Meade is currently a Commissioner of the Global Commission on Adaptation which seeks to enhance political visibility of climate resilience, a non-executive Director of HSBC Holdings PLC, a non-executive Director of ALFA General Board, a petrochemical company listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange, and performs consulting, project finance and academic activities. Between 2011 and 2017 he held Cabinet-level positions in the federal government of Mexico, including acting as Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, Secretary of Social Development, Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Secretary of Energy. Prior to his appointment to the Cabinet, he served as Undersecretary and as Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. Following his time as Director General of Banking and Savings at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, Dr. Meade served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank for Rural Credit, where he led the financial restructuring and its transition to a new institution, Financiera Rural. He studied economics and law from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, before receiving a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.

Germán Espejo LVO

Germán joined Brennan & Partners as Director, Americas following six years in the Colombian Foreign Service as Deputy Ambassador to the United Kingdom (2015-19) and Deputy Ambassador to the USA (2014-15). Previous to his diplomatic experience, he was the Colombia Country Manager for The Rendon Group, a Washington DC-based strategic communications agency specialised in political communication and public affairs. He started his professional career in the national security sector, serving as international affairs and strategic communications advisor for the Colombian Ministry of Defence where he drafted the National Defence and Security Policy 2006-2010. During Germán's term as Colombia's Deputy Head of Mission in London, he was a member of the Board of Directors at the British & Colombian Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, he was awarded the Honorary Royal Victorian Order in the grade of Lieutenant (LVO) for his work in the coordination of the first-ever State Visit by a Colombian President. He is a Government and International Affairs graduate from Externado de Colombia University and has completed executive studies on national and international security at Harvard University. He speaks Spanish and English.

Chair of the Latin America Advisory Board at Brennan & Partners. Luis Enrique García Rodriguez was Executive President of CAF - Development Bank of Latin America, a regional multilateral financial institution, for 25 years between December 1991 and March 2017. Before his election as President of CAF he was the Minister of Planning and Coordination and Chief of the Economic and Social Cabinet of Bolivia (1989-1991) and Undersecretary of Planning and member of the Board of the Central Bank. At the international level, he also held professional and executive positions for 17 years at the Inter-American Development Bank (1966 - 1973 and 1979 - 1989), where he concluded his career as Treasurer of the institution, before joining the Bolivian cabinet in 1989. He is currently President of the Council of International Relations for Latin America (RIAL), Co-Chair of the Ibero-American Productivity and Competitiveness Council (CIPYC) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trust for the Americas, Visitor Chairman of Grupo Financiero Bisa in Bolivia. Manuel González Sanz

A Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners, Sr. González Sanz is a former Costa Rican Foreign Minister, Minister of Foreign Trade, President of PROCOMER and Ambassador to the United Nations. Sr. González Sanz currently holds a number of domestic and international roles, including as a Partner of leading Costa Rican law firm Facio y Cañas. He is a former Professor of Corporate Law and Securities at the Universidad de Costa Rica and a former Board Member of the International Bank of Costa Rica. He has also served as a member of the Forum of Emerging Markets in Latin America and Vice-President of the Chamber of Exporters of Costa Rica. Sr. González Sanz completed a degree in Law at the Universidad de Costa Rica and subsequently obtained a Master's in Law from the Columbia University Law School where he was Harlam Stone Scholar. He was also a Fulbright Scholar at the Abshire-Inamori Leadership Academy at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington D.C..

Mercedes Aráoz

A Senior Advisor at Brennan & Partners, Professor Mercedes Aráoz is currently Principal Professor at the Economics Faculty of the Universidad del Pacifico, Peru, amongst other domestic and international roles. Professor Aráoz served as the Acting President and Prime Minister of Peru from 2017 to 2018. In 2016, she was elected as the Vice President of Peru and as a Congresswoman of the Republic. In her earlier career, Aráoz was Minister of Economy and Finance from 2009 to 2010, prior to which she served as the Minister of Production in 2009 and, between 2006 and 2009, as Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism. Aráoz was also Executive Director of the National Competitiveness Council and also served as Representative of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in Mexico from 2012 to 2015 and with the United Nations Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) lead group from 2018 to 2020. Aráoz is an economist, having graduated from Universidad del Pacifico, with a master's degree and having additionally undertaken doctoral studies at the University of Miami.

Sir Mark Walport
