DR. STEFAN VOLK

Stefan has 28+ years of industry experience in banking and the financial markets: Stefan spent almost 15 yrs. at Dresdner Bank, BNP Paribas &UBS. Subsequent to his banking career, Stefan was appointed CFO/CIO at the Gerling Insurance Group, prior to becoming a Managing Partner and shareholder of Hannover Leasing. Stefan is a founder & CEO of MCP Munich Capi-tal Partners, an adviser for infrastructure finance solutions with a focus on energy, ressources, transport and TMT. Geographically, MCP is a truely global player, active in Europe, the EMEA region and the Americas.

KARAN BHANDARI

Karan started working with the firm in 2018 as Senior Associate. He got promoted to Investment Manager in 2021. His responsibility includes fund due diligences & GP evaluations, portfolio monitoring, fund management and reporting. Before joining MCI, he worked with KPMG in their business valuations practice in India. He conducted valuation analysis and advised both private and publicly listed clients across industries. Prior to KPMG, he was with TresVista Financial Services, a customised financial services provider to Private Equity firms globally. He is a Business Management Graduate from Jai Hind College, Mumbai and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is also a PADI certified advanced open water diver and an adventure sports enthusiast.

NORBERT STELZER - CEO, Founder

Norbert has been working in private equity since 1987, the time when this business started in Germany. He is a well respected and successful member of the German private equity community. He is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Moravia Capital Investments. Structuring and managing private equity funds in Germany and attracting capable private equity teams as well as raising capital for his own funds and for his client's funds has been an integral part of his career, combined with substantial experience in negotiating, structuring and closing mid-cap deals, including spin-offs, MBOs and MBIs, IPOs and public take-overs, mergers as well as restructuring. Norbert has been on the supervisory board of several companies, co-founded and managed Odewald Hammermann & Stelzer (now Odewald & Compagnie), at the time the largest independent private equity fund in Germany. As Director of Deutsche Handelsbank, an investment bank, he was responsible for Private Equity and Corporate Finance. Before, he has been working as Investment Manager at the Matuschka Group, Germany's first company investing into MBO-, Venture Capital- and Fund-of-Funds. Before 1987 Norbert has worked at Ernst & Young in Boston and Munich, where his assignments included audits, company valuations and advisory work involving acquisitions and divestitures of German mid-cap companies. While at Ernst & Young, he also qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (USA) and as Wirtschaftsprüfer and Steuerberater (German chartered accountant and tax advisor). Norbert Stelzer holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and a MBA from Kansas State University (USA). He lives in Munich, is married and has two children and enjoys skiing, sailing, mountainbiking and also pursues more classical interests such as theatre, art and reading.

Peter has spent most of his career in Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions and has longstanding experience in advising / supporting small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in strategic and financial management issues. Before starting his own consultancy firm, Succession, Peter was a Managing Director of Dresdner Corporate Finance, a Managing Partner at Lehel Partners GmbH as well as Conversio GmbH in Germany.

SVENJA BECKER - CEO, Founder

Svenja has enjoyed working in Private Equity since 1998 and has gained in-depth experience in different cycles of the market by making commitments to Venture Capital and Private Equity funds across different vintages, geographies and sectors. Over the years, Svenja has developed a deep network to both General and Limited Partners internationally. By TrustedInsight (February 2016 Issue 10) she was ranked as one of Top 30 Female Limited Partners in Private Equity. Svenja started her professional career in Executive Search consultancy with Ward Howell International. In 1998, Svenja Becker joined Equity Research & Management AG, advising start-up and small cap companies. From January 2000 till June 2015, Svenja was a driving force behind building Single Family Office EXTOREL. As Senior Investment Manager, she had responsibility for a Private Equity portfolio of more than 40 funds across various vintages, stages, strategies and geographies. Svenja served on several boards. In July 2015, the second largest Swiss bank recruited her into the role of an Ambassador / Senior Representative for the bank's International Wealth Management unit. Based in Munich, she worked closely with the Swiss teams both in Wealth and Asset Management by introducing them to German Family Offices, Entrepreneurs, High Net Worth Individuals et al. In late 2017, Svenja decided to return to Private Equity where her heart was by co-founding Moravia Investments. She received her M.B.A. from the University of Bamberg and the University College of Swansea / Wales. With her husband and two kids Svenja lives near Munich. When her time allows, she enjoys spending time with family & friends, travelling, sports and cultural activities. She also co-founded the PE Ladies Circle, a well reputable club for female private equity professionals and an Ambassador for FASE, the Financing Agency for Social Entrepreneurship.

Vishesh Bali

In his 8+ years of work experience, Vishesh has garnered significant exposure to consulting, early-stage startups and public financial markets in India. The last 5 years with Bain, working across diverse industries and supporting global cost transformation cases to diagnose potential cost-saving opportunities and to suggest optimization techniques to boost target's operating margins, have helped him specialize in industry-agnostic lean operations. Prior to Bain, Vishesh worked as an analyst at an e-commerce startup in pre-owned car sales business, devising company and market entry strategy across different states in India, and a boutique consulting firm in Clean-Tech and Renewable Energy sector, advising developers and wind turbine manufacturers on strategic and potential market growth opportunities. He completed his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University in 2014. He is passionate about Formula One racing and had the opportunity to participate in Formula Student 2012 held at the Silverstone Circuit (UK). He as part Thapar University's Team Fateh designed, built, and raced a single seater racing car for the competition.
