She took her first piano lessons at the age of 4 and started with percussion at 10. From 2001 until 2007 she studied percussion at "The Middle School" in cooperation with the "Central Conservatory... Of Music" in Peking. She continued her bachelor studies with professor Biao Li at the Conservatory, where she graduated with honors... In the years 2007-2010 Ni Fan has been awarded with the National Scholarship of China and has performed as Solo Timpanist with the "Youth Symphony Orchestra of China".
