SPECIAL HAPPENINGS

Special Happenings was founded in 1897 as a local party supply company that provided tables, chairs, dinnerware, and decorations. In 1923, we added catering and bar service. We opened our first banquet facility in Clarksville in 1954. Special Happenings has been renovated and updated twice, once in 1985 and again in 2013... Special Happenings is home to one of the largest ballrooms in Maryland at 25,000 square feet. It has a huge hardwood dance floor in the middle surrounded by enough tables to seat nearly 500 people. The lobby features a gorgeous entryway with lounge chairs, a concierge station, a coatroom, and bathrooms, as pictured above... Special Happenings owns its own catering company, which provides delicious food for any event, either in our location or off site. We serve buffet-style to offer our customers the best value possible.
