In 1957 Maurice G. Steele started a small company known as MG Steele in Rome NY making Brazing Units, Air Wipes, and Swage Tools for the wire and cable industry. In 1969 the business was purchased from Maurice G Steele. MGS Manufacturing, Inc was formed from this business to address increasing demands for machinery in the growing wire and cable market. Through the years a full range of machinery was developed by engineering resources within the company.
