Anthony Wood

Anthony Wood is a seasoned innovator with a vast network of contacts from years of experience trailblazing new ways for businesses to grow. He is at ease connecting people, ideas and technology that result in profitable execution. His experience as an Enterprise Architect for IBM involved managing a specialized team of subject matter experts that tackled high profile projects. Wood also was the IT Architect that designed and developed the first web-enabled ATM that allowed real-time transactions, ultimately changing the way the world banks today. In his first year as Program Manager, Wood produced national award-winning work and continues to use his experience and network to lead the VITA Innovation Program initiatives and goals.

Nelson P. Moe

  • Chief Information Officer of the Commonwealth
Nelson P. Moe is a high-energy, results-driven information technology (IT) executive with a track record of success in highly complex, fast-changing cultures. As Chief Information Officer (CIO), he manages the commonwealth's IT infrastructure services, IT governance, procurements and cybersecurity for the enterprise. In 2015, Moe developed and now leads the VITA Innovation Program. Prior to joining the commonwealth's leadership team, Moe was CIO for the U.S. House of Representatives, and a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Moe holds a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy and graduate engineering degrees from both The Catholic University and George Washington University.

Selena Ballou

Job Titles:
  • Program Coordinator, the VITA Innovation Program
Selena Ballou is an experienced communicator and IT executive, who today coordinates and manages the often-unmanageable process of innovation for the commonwealth. Ballou served VITA as coordinator for both its Customer Relationship Management program and Managed Security Services project prior to joining the VIP team.
