Family farmers from Lighthouse Farm, south Lincolnshire, we have been working with nature to grow good food since 1840. At its core our farming is about restoring soil health and farming in tune with nature rather than against it. By improving our soil structure and fertility we are enhancing the nutrient value of the food we produce, whilst simultaneously combating climate change. Healthy soil structure and improving organic matter not only boosts fertility but also increases water holding capacity, reducing soil erosion and water run-off which, in turn, enables us to reduce use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides.
