James J. Laraia

James J. Laraia is an energetic, well-rounded attorney with knowledge and experience in a wide range of practice areas, including family law, civil litigation, and criminal matters. He routinely practices in DuPage, Kane, Will, and Kendall counties. After obtaining his B.A. from Illinois Benedictine College in 1997, Mr. Laraia went on to earn his Juris Doctor Degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2001. Mr. Laraia began his legal career working for the DuPage County State's Attorney, first as a clerk and then as an Assistant State's Attorney. He later went into private practice in 2003 where he focuses his practice in family law and civil litigation and has experience handling matrimonial law, child custody and child support issues, post-decree petitions, adoptions, and parentage cases. He also handles complex civil matters in the areas of consumer fraud defense, contract litigation, estate litigation, appellate practice, orders of protection, business law, and drafting simple wills and children's trusts. Mr. Laraia's wide range and experience in many different areas of law is an asset his clients can depend on in analyzing their matter and providing options for achievable outcomes. Kiley M. Whitty

Kiley M. Whitty concentrates in the areas of complex divorce litigation, parentage, legal separation, child support, post-divorce enforcement litigation, and the negotiation of premarital and post-marital agreements. Kiley also handles matters involving estate planning and residential real estate in DuPage, Kane, Will, Cook and surrounding collar counties. Ms. Whitty graduated magna cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a B.A. in Speech Communications and Political Science and she earned her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law. She was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2009. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for both the Northern District of Illinois and the Central District of Illinois. Ms. Whitty is the Immediate Past President of the DuPage County Bar Association, having previously served on the Board of Directors, the Planning Committee, Budget Committee, and on the Executive Committee. She is also a Past President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Kane County Bar Association. Kiley serves as a Director of the DuPage Bar Foundation and is a certified Guardian ad Litem for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court of DuPage County.
