MARA HIXON

A native Floridian, Mara earned her BA in Anthropology with a minor in Education from the University of Florida in 1986. She taught secondary school math and science for many years. She is also the author of three books, the first, "A Rotten Apple," provides humorous insight into public education. The two other books Hixon authored are children's educational sea turtle books that provide a peek into the life cycles of three memorable mommy sea turtles.
