Betty Hsieh, AIA Associate is the Operations Director and Group Partner of SL+A in Shanghai, China. Betty honed her strong creative design talents, excellent sense of color and knowledge of materials as a CAD operator. Her superior personal management skills and strong client relationships have been central to her ever-evolving role, and she is essential in projects involving feasibility studies, site technical reviews, material sourcing, design and construction documentation support. Betty works closely with clients to solve problems both large and small, and she is an indispensable part of SL+A Shanghai.

David J. Pipkin

David Pipkin, AIA, LEED AP, is the Executive Director and Group Director for SL+A in Taipei, Taiwan. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Architecture and obtained degrees from New York University and the University of Newcastle. Within two years of arriving in Taipei as a Design Lead for URSI, David took on the role of Country Manager and built a strong design department, later acquired by Steven Leach. In 1996, David became an SL+A Group Partner and continues to provide services encompassing contract management, design, programming, and construction services. Always leading by example, David encourages a collaborative approach to achieving design excellence in SL+A projects and beyond.

Donal T. Coyne

Donal T. Coyne, AIA, ACIArb is the Managing Director and Group Director of SL+A in Bangkok, Thailand. After spending sixteen years in New York City and Hong Kong respectively as an architect, Donal assumed the role of Managing Director of SL+A Bangkok. He has championed the considerable growth and expansion of interior and architectural design in Thailand, which led to the opening of a subsidiary office in Phuket, catering to the development of high-end residential designs. Donal is directly involved in design projects from the start, attending client presentations and ensuring the delivery of a high quality finished product.

Edward Pang

Edward Pang is the Managing Director and Group Director of SL+A in Taipei, Taiwan. Edward graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and relocated from SL+A Hong Kong in 1990. Under his leadership, SL+A Taiwan launched design studios and a separate construction arm to bolster the continued growth of the firm. With three decades of design and management experience, Edward is hands-on involved with proposals and contractual arrangements for multinational and local clients. Edward has led a number of multidisciplinary teams in notable design projects for banking, hospitality and corporate interiors.

Jonathan Kim

Jonathan Kim, AIA is the Managing Director and Group Director of SL+A in Seoul, Korea. In 2002, Jonathan played a key role in establishing SL+A Korea by combining his architectural and design professionalism with exceptional management abilities. He studied Architecture at the University of Queensland in Australia, and has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Office/Workplace design. As a leader in the market at one of Seoul's most international design and project management firms, Jonathan takes on a diverse clientele that includes automotive showrooms, corporate and retail space design.

Louis Lau

Louis is an award-winning interior designer with over 16 years of experience corporate interiors, high end residential, clubhouses and commercial interiors. His excellent design skills combine with a thorough knowledge of construction allows Louis to holistically approach the most challenging projects to consistently deliver highly creative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions, on time and on budget.

Mao Wang

Mao Wang, LEED AP is the Business Development Director and Group Director of SL+A in Taipei, Taiwan. Mao joined SL+A in 2004 to steer marketing and business development and was instrumental in growing the office into a strong, diverse firm of services for corporate, technical facilities, retail and hospitality clients. Mao looks at key frontline projects and draws from both his MBA education and BFA interior design training from San Jose State University to coordinate management, design construction and service teams to complete the project creatively, within budget and on schedule.

Martin B. Axe

Martin B. Axe is the Executive Director and Group Director of SL+A in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Martin joined SL+A Malaysia in 1994, and his varied experience in teaching, consultancy, management, furniture and industrial design has propelled the office forward. With degrees in Architecture and Interior Design from the University of Houston and Cooper Union, Martin is a well-rounded member of the SL+A team. As the Executive Director, Martin provides advice to shape and implement region-wide strategies, and he also oversees quality control of design and management for all SL+A projects.

Noriko Kitamura

Noriko Kitamura is the Managing Director and Group Director of SL+A in Tokyo, Japan. Noriko recognized that design transforms workplaces while studying in San Francisco at the Academy of Arts College, and was determined to pursue a career full of creative opportunities. She has guided the evolution of office interior design throughout Tokyo and focuses on rapidly transforming working environments in the IT sector to enhance behavioral psychology of individuals and the group. With over twenty years of interior design experience, Noriko has lead SL+A Tokyo since 2008. Her multi-disciplinary expertise has resulted in a portfolio encompassing projects in architecture, workplace strategy and design.

Phillip Marchione

Phillip Marchione is the Managing Director for SL+A in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Phillip graduated from University Deakin with a degree in Management Technology, and brings nearly 30 years of professional experience to the KL office. Previously, Phillip was the logistics group leader at Ford Motor Company; demonstrating aptitude for implementing complex logistics coordination across departments. He first joined SL+A as the Project & Operations Director, leading projects and managing specialty areas including logistics, operations, systems and procedures creation for single and multi-site rollouts. As the Managing Director, Phillip is responsible for the quality control of design and management for all projects.

Sharon Yeoh

Sharon Yeoh is Operations Director and Group Partner at SL+A in Shanghai, China. Sharon started her journey with the Steven Leach Group in 1993 at the Kuala Lumpur office, focusing on office administration, human resources and financial service coordination. Her organizational aptitude facilitated the establishment and strong presence of SL+A in Malaysia. In 2008, Sharon had the opportunity to relocate to the newly launched Shanghai office, bringing her invaluable experience, focus and commitment to her new role as Director, handling matters of administration, HR & Finance to support our shared mission to passionately deliver excellence in all aspects of hospitality design.

Sunny Wang

Sunny Wang, AIA, CAID, APHDA, ASID is the Managing Director of SL+A in Shanghai, China. Sunny was appointed to the role of Managing Director of SL+A Shanghai from Taiwan because of his talents, dedication to client needs, and broad knowledge of design, management and the construction and design industry. With a background in Civil Engineering, Sunny earned his BFA in Interior Design from the San Francisco Academy of Art College. He is fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese and English, and seamlessly leads major projects in hospitality, retail banking, financial, IT, and corporate offices for some of the largest multinationals throughout the Greater China region.
