Acácio Magno

Job Titles:

With a degree in Civil Engineering, he joined SOMAF 2001, having worked on several contracts for Infraestruturas de Portugal (ex-REFER). In 2005, he took over the direction of SOMAFEL Morocco, coordinating the entire operation of the company in this market until the end of 2015. Since the beginning of 2016, he has been Director of SOMAFEL Algeria, coordinating the entire operation of the company in the Algerian market, in accumulation since 2018 with the functions of Director of the TEHOZEN International Consortium, made up of the companies Teixeira Duarte/ETRHB/OZGUN/ENYSE, responsible for the modernization of one of the most important Algerian rail links. At the end of 2021, he takes over the direction of SOMAFEL, and at the beginning of 2022, he assumes the direction of SOMAFEL Gabon for the three countries, with the Management of the three countries currently in Morocco, coordinating the company's operation in these markets.

Gilberto Costa

His professional career started in 2001, when he joined OFM - a subsidiary of SOMAFEL - immediately after completing his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. After his experience as project manager of several construction projects for the Porto Light Rail System between 2001 and 2010, in addition to other railway projects for Infraestruturas de Portugal, in 2012, he became coordinator of the railway and maritime project in the Mozambican market. In 2016, he was relocated to another continent, taking on the role of Production Manager of SOMAFEL Brazil, coordinating major projects such as the installation of the Salvador Light Rail System or Sections 45 to 47 of the Expansion of the Carajás Railroad. Since the beginning of 2018, he is the Manager of SOMAFEL Brazil, coordinating all company's operations in this market.

Mónica Leal

She joined the staff of OFM (a subsidiary of SOMAFEL) in February 2002. With a degree in Accounting, she began her career in the Administrative and Financial Department in the maritime area, moving, in 2004, to the railway area. In 2013, she assumed the function of Management Control of SOMAFEL.

Nuno Gonçalves

With a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering since 2000, his connection to the railway business started even before he completed his degree. The subject of his master's thesis was "Purchasing and Commissioning a Tamping Machine". In 2000, he joined SOMAFEL's Equipment Department, with the main duty of commissioning new equipment purchased by the company. In 2002, he became responsible for the planning and logistic control of the company's heavy tamping units. In this role, besides having to ensure the availability of equipment for the projects underway, he also coordinated the mechanical interventions related to the modifications required for the commissioning of equipment operating in foreign countries - gauge, tropicalization, etc. In the company's internalization process, he coordinated all the logistic operations to transport the equipment. In 2016, with the increasing amount of equipment used in Latin America, he was relocated to Brazil with the responsibility of organizing and training the local engineers and mechanical technicians to ensure the operation and maintenance of SOMAFEL's equipment and also of the equipment provided by local Clients. Nowadays he is the Equipment Director of SOMAFEL.

Paulo Serradas - CEO

With a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Post-Graduation in Management Control and Financial Analysis, he joined the company in 2013 as General Manager. His experience in different areas of Civil Engineering - metalworking, building construction - as well as his experience in several foreign markets - Europe, Australia, Middle East - constituted an asset that was quickly incorporated into the company's values and strategic guidelines.

Rui Costa

In 1997, he completed his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and joined SOMAFEL after a brief work experience in the road network projects area. He started his professional career at SOMAFEL in the planning and project control area, within the scope of the North Line Modernization projects. Between 2000 and 2007, he was the coordinator of the most significant slab track installation projects - Porto Light Rail System, Sul do Tejo Light Rail System, Lisbon Underground System. From 2007 to 2011, he coordinated a group of projects for Infraestruturas de Portugal. In 2013, in order to promote and propel SOMAFEL's consolidation in the Brazilian market, he took on the role of General Manager of SOMAFEL Brazil. With the purpose of boosting the consolidation of SOMAFEL in the Brazilian market, from 2013 to 2018 he takes responsibility of Somafel Brazil management. Currently, assumes the position of General Manager of SOMAFEL.

Rui Rodrigues

Graduated in Civil Engineering in 2005, his professional career began that year at BEL-Engenharia e Reabilitação de Estruturas, S.A., a company of the Teixeira Duarte Group. In 2008 and 2009, he took on projects at an international level, with emphasis on the coordination of the Rehabilitation des Monuments des Martyres project, in Algeria. In 2011, as part of Teixeira Duarte - Engenharia e Construções, S.A., he carried out work management functions in several contracts, including the project for the Reinforcement and Rehabilitation of the Foundations of Ponte Internacional de Valença. In 2015, he was also responsible for the company's projects in Mozambique. Since 2016, he has integrated SOMAFEL, having coordinated several important works such as the Electrification of the Minho Line between Nine and Viana do Castelo and the Modernization Contract of the Beira Alta Line Section Guarda / Cerdeira. He also followed the company's activities in the markets of Gabon and Mozambique. Currently assumes the direction of production of SOMAFEL in Portugal

Rui Rondão

He finished his academic training in Civil Engineering in 1991 and joined SOMAFEL in 1994 after integrating several projects in the buildings construction area. Since his arrival in the company he has always been involved in large projects in the railway area, referring as an example Modernization of the North Line, in Portugal. With the internationalization of SOMAFEL he assumed the coordination of several projects in the markets of Morocco and Brazil. Since 2017, he assumes functions in the Direction of Studies and Proposals.

Sónia Filipe

Job Titles:

After completing her Master's Degree in Materials Engineering in 1997, her professional career started that same year, with a brief work experience in the manufacturing and construction sectors. She joined SOMAFEL in 2002. As assistant to the Head of the Quality Department, she monitored the transition process of the Quality Management System from the standard NP EN ISO 9001:1995 to NP ISO 9001:2000, during the year 2002.In 2003, she took on the role of Quality and Environmental Manager, with the main responsibilities of implementing and monitoring the Management Systems and coordinating training in the fields of Quality and Environmental Management. Between 2005 and 2011, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the OHSAS 18001, SA 8000 and NP 4457 standards, which culminated in SOMAFEL's certification in the fields of Safety, Social Responsibility and Research, Development and Innovation (RDI). Having coordinated these areas since 2006, she is responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards set out in the Management System across the company's business activities and geographical locations.

Tito Reis

Employee of the company since 1995. With a degree in Civil Engineering and vast experience in the railway area, he has collaborated and led several projects at national and international level, particularly in the Algerian and Moroccan markets where he assumed the functions of country manager and project manager. Examples include the construction of the first High Speed Line in Africa (Morocco) and the construction of Line 1 of the Algiers Metro (Algeria). In 2018 he assumed the direction of the UK market, accumulating commercial functions to propel new international markets.
