Anne Pegg

In 2004, Mrs. Pegg became a founding member of the Board of South Lake Futures. She serves on various Committees and Boards in the community. Mrs. Pegg grew up in rural Uxbridge and is currently a resident of Georgina. An educator by profession, she spent her career teaching in the public-school system in Georgina. She is a lifelong volunteer and has served on a variety of community development and environmental projects. She is a Founding Member of the Family Selection/Partnering Committee for Habitat for Humanity York Region. She served as the Chair of the South Shore Community Broadband, is a Past Chair of the York Simcoe Trillium Foundation and former Director of the Alliance for a Better Georgina. She currently sits on the Board of Georgina Trades Training Inc. where she was a founding member. Past honours have included Georgina Citizen of the Year, York Region Woman of the Year and Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee Medal. Mrs. Pegg joined the Board of Georgina Association for Business in 2002 and in 2004 became a founding member of the Board of South Lake Futures.

Brian McGregor

Brian James McGregor has 43 years in the Financial Services Industry including positions in Personal Financial Planning, Commercial Lending and Management. Brian has lived in Beaverton, Ontario for the past 34 years. His volunteer work includes Past Treasurer Beaverton Minor Hockey, Founding Chair of the Beaverton Smallmouth Bass Derby, Beaverton Downtown Revitalization Committee, Shop Brock Committee and the Beaverton Fair.

Dan Ruby

Mr. Ruby is a 17 year resident of East Gwillimbury. He has had a 20+ year career in Economic Development and Business Consulting and has founded 4 companies and a not-for-profit organization.

David Rhead - Chairman

Mr. Rhead has over twenty years of private sector management expertise and ten years public service infrastructure engineering experience. Mr. Rhead is a Brock resident who brings over twenty years of private sector management expertise in the heavy infrastructure construction and manufacturing industries in addition to over ten years public service infrastructure engineering leadership experience. His diverse background includes senior management, sales and marketing, training & development, change leadership, sustainability and extensive quality management experience including ISO, Six sigma and Total Quality Management certifications. Mr. Rhead sits on many industry and community boards including CSA, Brock Shoreline Residents Association and past Chair of Brock Economic Development Advisory Committee and Haiti reconstruction.

Elsa Mateus

Mrs. Mateus joined the staff of South Lake Futures in 2008. Her experience includes Community Economic Development and Investment Fund Management. Mrs. Mateus earned her Honours BA in Sociology and Communications from York University. In 2008, she joined the staff of South Lake Futures managing the Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP). During her tenure as the EODP Officer she also served as the East Region Representative on the OACFDC's Youth Committee. Mrs. Mateus managed community economic development and diversification projects for nine years and later went on to manage the South Lake Futures Investment Fund portfolio before being promoted to her current position as General Manager. Mrs. Mateus currently sits on the Eastern Ontario Community Futures Network Board and the Georgina Economic Development Committee.

Heather Benjamin

Ms. Benjamin is a resident of Georgina. Her professional background includes mentoring new start-ups as well as having owned her own business. Ms. Benjamin, a local resident her entire life, has a background in entrepreneurship having launched her own business close to 20 years ago. Heather has worked extensively with both new start ups as well as established businesses as a turn around specialist, helping owners maximize their potential.

James Beechey

Mr. Beechey's experience includes marketing, as well as senior management in marketing, business management and government affairs. Mr. Beechey has resided in Georgina for several years. He operates a marketing consultancy business, prior to which he served in the private sector in senior management positions in marketing, business management and government affairs throughout North America. Locally he serves as a Director of the Georgina Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Town of Georgina's Economic Development Committee and was the past Chair of the Georgina Community Health Council. He served South Lake Futures as a Committee volunteer for a year before being elected to the Board of Directors.

Jason Solilo

Mr. Solilo holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a new resident of Georgina. Mr. Solilo has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, focusing closely with manufacturing and wholesale companies. Mr. Solilo has also worked with a number of companies to implement foreign growth and acquisition strategies.

Nick Tanquiy

Mr. Tanquiy graduated from the University of Waterloo and York University with a Bachelor of Administrative Studies. He is a Certified Lead Auditor: ISO9000 Quality Systems and Certified Senior Engineering Technician in Electronics. Mr. Tanquiy has more than 40 years business experience in Electronics, Medical Device, and Environmental Monitoring Equipment Manufacturing as well as Real Estate Property Management. Mr. Tanquiy is a resident in the Town of Georgina.

Susan Martin

Mrs. Martin joined the staff of the Georgina Association for Business in 1995. She continued in her role as Office Administrator with South Lake Futures. Mrs. Martin joined the staff of the Georgina Association for Business in 1995 and continued her role as Office Administrator when South Lake Futures was formed in 2004. She has a background in corporate communications and at the community level has held senior positions on the local, regional and provincial boards of several amateur sports associations. She currently serves on the provincial board of an international organization in an executive position.
