WALTER

Walter is an Engineer... Hey there. I'm Walter: student, researcher, engineer, and procrastinator. Unfortunately, only one of those top-level domains (TLDs) were available when I was in the market for a website... I'm a Pathways Intern in the Intelligent Systems division's Core Avionics and Software Technologies (CAST) group at NASA Ames Research Center, and a Predoctoral Trainee at the NSF Center for Space, High-Performance, and Resilient Computing (SHREC). Currently, I'm working on a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. My research interests include virtualization technologies for spacecraft, distributed architectures, software reliability, and heterogeneous embedded computing, but I enjoy learning about any interesting problems in computing.
