ZEN CONSULTING - Key Persons

David Florence - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founding Director
Trained as an actor in Brighton and upon moving to London quickly gave up the idea of ‘treading the boards', choosing instead to carve out a career in financial recruitment. A good 10 years later and after working for some of the top finance recruitment specialists, he upped sticks and left the ‘Big Smoke' and sought pastures new by moving to the South West. It was here, whilst working as a Partner for boutique firm Cavendish Maine that he met with his former colleague from FSS Financial - John Mahy. Not long after that, Zen was created in 2007. David has always had a keen eye on work place and sport psychology and often employs some of his extracurricular studies into his recruitment methodologies. David is married and settled in Box near Bath with requisite dog, and can often be seen running, climbing, and cycling in the countryside or if weather and water temperature permits - swimming in the local rivers and lakes. Occasionally this leads to his entering into various endurance races in order to stave off the middle age spread.
