Arisa Kishigami

Arisa Kishigami is a thought leader and independent consultant, assisting Arkadiko's clients in developing and implementing their sustainable investment and stewardship strategies. Since April 2019, Arisa has worked independently under her initiative En-CycleS, standing for "Engagement Cycle for Sustainability". Through her activities, Arisa aims to enhance business and investment practices so they may better align with the long term sustainability of the environment and society. Having previously worked in FTSE Russell's Sustainable Investment team for 13 years, including as Head of ESG for the Asia Pacific region, Arisa's experience ranges from managing global corporate engagement programmes, ESG criteria development, sustainable investment index product development, and institutional investor engagement on stewardship and ESG integration. In addition to being a Senior Consultant for Arkadiko Partners, Arisa helps to shape the debates, frameworks, and action through strategic dialogues with companies, publications and public speaking. As part of this, Arisa is also a Board member of Japan Sustainable Investment Forum (JSIF), and a member to a number of public committees such as the Japanese Financial Services Agency (JFSA) Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance. Arisa holds an MSc from the University of Oxford in African Studies, and a bachelor's degree from Keio University in Policy Management.

Colin Melvin - Founder, Managing Director

Colin is responsible for service delivery, supporting Arkadiko's clients in developing and implementing a long-term relational approach to their business. Colin is a thought leader and agent for positive change, who has been at the forefront of global developments in corporate leadership, stewardship and sustainability and responsible asset management for over twenty years. He has international experience from the investor and corporate perspectives in developing and challenging strategy, promoting effective risk management and corporate governance and creating well-aligned incentives. He is currently an External Lecturer at Copenhagen Business School and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Previously, he was Non-Executive Chair of InfluenceMap, a member of the InfluenceMap Advisory Board and Advisory Council at The Inclusive Capitalism Programme on Purposeful Ownership, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Until November 2016 he was Global Head of Stewardship at Hermes Investment Management (now Federated Hermes) and between 2004 and January 2016 Chief Executive of Hermes EOS, the world's largest stewardship service, which he founded. He was formerly Head of Responsible Investment at Baillie Gifford, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Board Member and Chair of the Principles for Responsible Investment, Chair of Social Stock Exchange, Chair of Future-Fit Foundation, a Member of the Corporate Advisory Group at The Future of the Corporation, British Academy and a Member of the 30% Club Investor Group. Between 2008 and 2013 he was a non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Aedas, an architectural firm. He has a strong network of contacts at the most senior levels within the world's largest investment institutions and listed companies. He is an expert in building trust and adding value to boards in industries with stakeholder challenges having worked with many companies to improve their relationships and performance. He has a strong ability to steer complex and sensitive situations to positive action. Colin qualified as a fund manager in 1996 and is a member of the CFA Institute. He holds an MA from Aberdeen University and an MPhil from Cambridge University, both in History, and Diplomas in Investment Analysis from Stirling University and Company Directorship from the Institute of Directors. Daniel Rossmann

Daniel Rossmann serves as Associate Consultant at Arkadiko Partners, supporting clients in implementing a sustainable approach to their business and investments. Daniel works closely with Arkadiko's Managing Director and senior consultants on all client projects and has developed expertise in appraising and evolving asset managers' approaches to responsible investment, sustainability, and stewardship. His work includes assessing and assisting in the evolution of processes for investment research, analysis, and decision-making, and drafting and editing policy and procedure documents and external reporting on responsible investment and stewardship, including submissions to the UK Stewardship Code and PRI. Daniel also undertakes market research on responsible investment, sustainability, and stewardship, including identifying best practices and assessing their implications for asset managers, and conducting peer analysis of asset managers on the quality, credibility, and authenticity of their approaches. He also assists in the facilitation of workshops for clients, including on discovery and implementation of purpose and the development of investment principles and beliefs. Daniel holds a BSc in International Business and a MSc in Economics and Business Administration (Accounting, Strategy, and Control) from Copenhagen Business School. He has seven years of experience in financial services and asset management prior to working at Arkadiko, including at CACEIS Bank Deutschland GmbH, VP Securities A/S (acquired by Euronext Securities in 2020), and Curo Capital (formerly Atrium Kapitalforvaltning A/S), an independent Danish wealth manager. He is Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®) at The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies, holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA UK, and a Certificate in Corporate Sustainability from NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business. He is member of Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, an independent policy institute based in London.
