Ashling Fox

Ashling is an experienced housing professional currently working as Chief Customer Officer for Bromford having left her role as Deputy CEO of Peabody in November 2022. Ashling joined Family Mosaic as Group Customer Services Director in March 2015 and became Chief Operating Officer of Peabody following their merger. She was previously Head of Home Emergency Operations at the AA and has over 17 years leadership experience working in complex operational and customer service organisations both in and out of sector. As the executive lead for customers at Bromford, Ashling is responsible for driving improvements to the way that customers' homes are managed and maintained, enabling customers to thrive in their communities. Using data and insight to inform her approach, Ashling puts the customer relationship first and is passionate about offering a range of different ways to engage customers and deliver resident services. Ashling has a Masters in Business Administration from Henley Business School and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management.

Chris Cheeseman - Chairman

Chris is the Board Chair for Golding Homes. Chris brings over 38 years of residential sector experience, gained both within housing associations and private consultancy. Chris spent 17 years at Moat Housing Group, building a significant intermediate housing business before being appointed as a Group Development Director, a member of the Moat Executive team. Chris joined ikon consultancy where he was an equity partner, specialising in affordable housing consultancy services. Ikon was acquired by Hamptons International, part of the Countrywide Group, in February 2015. Chris joined affordable housing consultancy Red Loft in October 2019 as a Partner, following 18 months at Clarion.

David Done

Until April 23, David was Group Chief Executive of RHP an award-winning housing association group in West London. Since establishing the organisation in 2000, he helped make RHP one of the most respected registered providers in the UK holding the highest regulatory ratings for governance and financial viability, and a sector leading credit rating from Standard & Poors'. The Group is known for innovation, for the modernisation of homes and services using digital technology, and for being an inspirational place to work holding IIP at the prestigious platinum level. David's an experienced non-executive director sitting on the boards of three other housing associations, including Chair of Gateway Housing Association, and Complete Technology Group (CTG) a commercial company delivering technology solutions to the sector.

David Hart

David's responsible for leading our finance and procurement teams to make sure they deliver a first-class service for both colleagues and customers. He has over 12 years of sector experience, previously working at Director level for Chelmer Housing Partnership, Catalyst and Moat, and most recently delivering the successful merger of Colne and Greenfields to become Eastlight Community Homes. David is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and previously led the issue of a £200million corporate bond, securing two credit ratings and competitive pricing to fund the development of over 2,000 new homes. David's committed to ensuring we're a sustainable, resilient and highly competent organisation which continues to deliver for our customers.

Ebele Akojie

Ebele is our Board's Deputy Chair and Chair of the Treasury Committee. She has over 20 years of experience working at Board level, with an excellent knowledge of treasury, financial investment, risk, and business growth. Ebele has held a range of Executive, Director and Board level roles including Chief Financial Officer, Financial Strategy and Operations Director, and Finance Director at three G15 Housing Associations. Ebele was previously Chair of the Audit and Assurance Committee at Paragon Housing, now PA Housing, for six years.

Fiona Deal

Fiona joined Golding Homes in May 2022 and leads our People, Business Improvement, Communications and Data & Technology teams. She started in the housing sector in 2000 having previously held senior HR roles with the Bank of New York and Kent Police. Fiona has a strong track record of leading positive culture change and has held executive-level roles in housing with Network Homes, AmicusHorizon (now Optivo) and Moat. She is a multiple award-winning HR Director and steered her last two housing associations to strong listings in the Sunday Times Top 100. In 2019, Fiona was voted HR Director of the Year in the HR Excellence Awards and again in the Personnel Today Awards.

Hannah Langford

Hannah Langford is a Commercial Property lawyer and partner at a leading City law firm. Hannah's expertise includes working with registered providers, house builders and local authorities on development, joint ventures and regeneration projects. She was formerly an in-house lawyer at Clarion Housing Group and has experience of working in local authorities where she specialised in property and planning law.

Ian Newton

Ian joined Golding Homes in October 2021 and is responsible for leading our IT services. Ian has over 20 years' experience of digital and business transformation experience at a senior level and has previously worked at two other housing associations, as well as holding previous positions in retail and logistics.

Lenka Muir

Lenka joined Golding from Optivo where she was a Development Manager, managing a team of Project Managers to deliver homes across Kent and Sussex. Lenka has over 12 years' experience in development and asset management, having previously worked for AmicusHorizon Ltd and private maintenance companies. Lenka's focused on applying best practice from both sectors to deliver on customer expectations. Lenka's an RICS Chartered Surveyor, holds a BA(Hons) in Business Studies and is a Prince 2 Practitioner. Lenka's expertise and knowledge will help to deliver our ambitious development programme.

Lisa Fotheringham

Lisa is an experienced senior financial services professional, currently working as MD Business Planning, driving strategic change and transformation within the commercial banking division of Lloyds Banking Group. Lisa's experience spans leadership roles in strategic business development, performance and customer experience; and client facing roles working with businesses to provide funding and financial solutions. She's passionate about delivering excellent customer services and the need to learn from customer feedback to help inform proposals for improvements.

Owen Ingram - Chairman

Owen is a highly experienced Chair and Non-Executive Director of registered housing providers and health authorities. He has worked in housing, health care and mental health services. As a highly respected interim Chief Executive he has been responsible for leading major change in governance, executive structures and bringing about organisational learning. Owen is passionate about excellence in customer services, providing safe, quality homes for residents and creating positive working environments for staff. He enjoys working with people who share his values. Owen has been appointed by and worked with all the housing regulators in the UK.

Rachel McFarlane

Rachel joined Golding in June 2023 from Paradigm Housing Group where she was Executive Director - Customer.  She has a wealth of experience leading in customer service and housing management and has also contract managed repairs and maintenance. She's held several senior strategic and operational roles in the housing sector over the last 17 years and is also a trustee of a homeless charity in St Albans.

Rohan Gunatillake

Rohan joined Golding Homes in June 2019 and is responsible for leading strategic financial planning, treasury management, building new relationships and securing new sources of finance for Golding. Rohan has over 25 years experience within Finance including debt, equity and treasury management. His most recent experience has been as Head of Treasury at Watford Community Housing and Swan Housing. Rohan's a qualified Corporate Treasurer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He's committed to developing a strong and sophisticated Treasury & Financial Planning function, ensuring ongoing delivery of an appropriately risk-balanced, value enhancing service.

Sandeep Sankoli

Sandeep Sankoli is a seasoned housing professional with over 15 years of experience in both regional government and private practice. He specialises in mixed-use development, private rented sector investment, and urban regeneration and is currently Head of London Land and Partnerships at Hill Residential, and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Sandeep's career began as a Housing Economist at City Hall, where he provided advice to the Mayor of London on housing supply barriers. He also worked at L&Q, advising on their entry into the private rented sector and strategic growth planning. Sandeep is a regular contributor to round table discussions and think tanks on private rented sector and placemaking through the British Property Federation and Future of London.

Simon Bass

Simon has over 20 years of experience working at Board level. He's held a range of Executive, Director and Board level roles including Director of Resources and Finance Director at various housing associations inside and outside London - including a G15 association - as well as charities involved in children's services and cancer research. He's been responsible for business planning, risk management and effective treasury management, as well as change management and restructuring in finance, HR and IT.

Stephanie Goad - CEO

Steph joined Golding in February 2022 from fellow Kent landlord mhs Homes, where she'd been Operations Director for four years. Steph's passionate about housing and the role housing associations can play in stepping up to help combat the housing crisis, improve quality of lives and deliver the excellent services that all customers have the right to receive. Steph brings a wealth of experience, both from Board level and a range of senior roles, most recently at mhs and previously Medway Council. She's also a trustee for Kent-based homeless charity, Porchlight.

Steve Stratford

Steve joined Golding in July 2020 from MHS Homes and is responsible for overseeing property and compliance. He has over 20 years' experience working in social housing after working his way up from Building Surveyor. His asset management experience spans delivery of planned works, compliance, fire safety and repairs and maintenance, including direct labour. Steve has a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and is an MRICS Chartered Surveyor and MCIOB Chartered Construction Manager. Steve's passionate about providing safe, well-maintained homes for customers and will work to develop and deliver a proactive asset management programme at Golding which will ensure our customers' homes and estates are well looked after and safe.

Terry Spillard

Terry joined in July 2020 from Optivo. He began his time there as a Housing Officer, before moving to become Neighbourhood Manager and then Regional Manager for Kent, where he was responsible for the management of more than 7000 homes. Terry's passionate about housing, with over 15 years' sector experience and strives to deliver a positive experience for both customers and staff. Terry's responsible for our customer-facing, driving forward our ambition to provide excellent customer service. Terry's a member of Chartered Management Institute and Chartered Institute for Housing, and has a level 5 Institute of Leadership and Management diploma. He's also a Trustee and Treasurer for Home-Start, one of the leading family support charities in the UK.

Tom Casey

Tom's responsible for leading our Development, Sales, Sustainability and Strategic Asset Management teams, overseeing our ambitious growth and investment programme. Tom joined Golding in March 2019 from Optivo where he was Head of Partnerships and Joint Ventures. During his time there he was instrumental in increasing the future programme to over 1,000 homes per annum, working on a variety of complex acquisition and joint venture projects. He has over 15 years' experience in the housing sector, having worked in a number of senior positions at mhs Homes and AmicusHorizon. Tom is a chartered member of RICS. He's dedicated to increasing our portfolio of homes and building sustainable communities where our customers choose to live.
