Adaline Fahey

Job Titles:
  • Administration
Adaline started working at the practice in 1984 as a qualified veterinary nurse. She now works part time as our Practice Administrator processing pet insurance claims.

Carys Gulvin

Carys joined us in July 2019 having just returned from a year travelling in New Zealand & Thailand. It was her experience of working as a volunteer in an animal rescue centre in Thailand that inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary nursing.

Christie Lewitt-Smith

Job Titles:
  • Unit Assessor
Christie joined the practice as a student nurse in 1998 after completing a BTech Diploma in Animal Care and Science. She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2004, gained her qualification as a Clinical Coach in 2006 and became Head Nurse in 2008.

David Platten

Job Titles:
  • Joint Owner / Director of the Practice Alongside Max King
David qualified from Bristol in 1988. After two years working at a busy west London hospital practice, he travelled widely in Asia & Australia. He returned to the U.K. in 1992 and began working for the Sherwood Veterinary Group shortly afterwards where he has remained ever since. He has a keen interest in soft tissue surgery. In 2015 David became a joint owner/director of the practice alongside Max King.

Forrest Smyth

Job Titles:
  • Receptionist
Forrest is also a full-time Receptionist at our Ashford surgery. She has been a member of the team since June 2016 and had previously worked as a receptionist in the outpatients department of a private hospital.

Jennie Johnston

Jennie joined us in July 2015 to begin her training as a veterinary nurse with us and qualified in 2018 as an RVN.

Jessica Mahoney

Job Titles:
  • Practice Manager
Jess was promoted to Practice Manager in August 2022 after working as one of our full time Receptionists at Ashford, joining the team in November 2014. Jess was already familiar with the practice, having brought her family pets here for a number of years.

Max King

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Surgeon
Max qualified from Glasgow University in 1997, and started work here part-time just a few weeks after qualifying. At the time he also worked as an animal behaviour consultant at Roger Mugford's Animal Behaviour Centre. In 2015 Max became a joint ownerdirector of the practice alongside David Platten.

Natalie Farrar

Natalie qualified in 2015 and had been working as a Deputy Head Nurse at a practice in Egham before she joined us in July 2017. Natalie is also a Clinical Coach so will be able to share the responsibility of supporting our student nurses with Christie.

Sophie More

Sophie joined us in July 2016 having recently graduated from Cambridge University so this will be her first position as a Veterinary Surgeon.She now works at both our Ashford & Hampton surgeries.
