David Ward

David lives in Greens Norton and works for a Northamptonshire charity, and has worked for a number of charities over the last 16 years. Previously worked in the private sector in middle and senior management roles for national and international organisations.

Jane Scrase

Jane is a retired, experienced primary school teacher who has lived in Towcester for over 40 years. As well as volunteering at the museum, Jane also helps with Friday Beavers in Towcester and works as part of a team of volunteer gardeners called ‘Garden Buddies' most weeks.

Paul Woodfield

Paul is a very experienced archaeologist, writer and local historian who has acted as a consultant for English Heritage. He is currently acting as an adviser on the development of the Museum's interpretive schemes and exhibitions.

Penny Bennett

  • Corporate Media Manager at the Open University
Penny has worked as Corporate Media Manager at the Open University and was Director of the ‘OpenLearn Project' one of the largest open educational resource projects in the world. Penny has contributed extensively to the development of the Museum's interpretive schemes since 2006.

Rob Hamblin - Chairman

Rob has 20 years' experience in managing projects in large commercial and public sector organisations (having managed projects for Argos, BAA, BSI, T-Mobile, Somerfield and Eurostar). Rob has excellent organisational skills and extensive experience of managing multi-disciplinary project teams.

Sally Willett

Job Titles:

Sally worked for 10 years at Lloyds Bank as a Marketing Co-ordinator and in various supervisory roles. She has also worked in education as a sports coach, teaching children to swim. Sally has been a Trustee since 2012 and during that time she has performed in a variety of roles including Curator, Secretary of the 100 Club and Manager of the Museum gift shop.

Sarah Jane Bateman - Treasurer

Sarah grew up in Towcester and has worked in accounts for 7 years. Sarah is MAAT/AATQB qualified and also training to be an accountant via self-study. When not working or supporting the museum, she enjoys yoga and crafting.
