CALVARY - Key Persons
To me, this is not work. It's utilizing my talents for something bigger than myself. It was once said, "Everyone has a spiritual gift, but not everyone uses it for God." This is correct. I have been making music and sound engineering for a long time and worked with many well-known people, this is my gift, but I never looked at it as a spiritual gift until I started volunteering at Calvary Chapel. I have been a member at Calvary Chapel since 2005, and serving has been a gratifying experience. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve, using the spiritual gift that God has given me. What a blessing.
My lifelong passion for technology is an integral part of my ministry here at CCNN as the Technical Director, IT Director, and A/V / Sound Engineer. My wife, Maureen, and I love using our skills to spread the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This brings a joy to us like no other.<
I feel like I carry myself as Mr. Humble, and I know for sure that I have "Talk to me" written on my forehead, because I'm always engaged in conversations that seem to start with simple eye contact. I know it's a gift of listening that has been revealed to me that I want to continue to build on, and I'm always constantly observing how people can be so easily ensnared with the world's view of life you should act and behave. It always brings me back to Roman 12:2 about not becoming conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. It's a constant reminder for me to still be "The Salt" in this world and to let my actions reflect onto the Lord.
Music has been a huge passion of mine from a young age and to be able to integrate a passion and use it to serve the Lord is a blessing. It is an honor and privilege to be able to serve on staff as the worship assistant. I have been serving as a volunteer in our worship ministries here at CCNN for about 10 years now. It has been a privilege to be able to assist alongside the Worship Leader and to be able to help move things more efficiently and effectively.

I have always loved the way the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out. Our walk with Him shows the fruit of our labor. God uses people, places and things to accomplish His will of spreading the Good News, while keeping us humble in service for the Body of Christ. I'm reminded constantly of what Romans 12:3 says, "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you."

God called me into the Ministry to reach the next generation through the teaching of His Word. I have enjoyed serving at CCNN since March 2004. My purpose is to teach the youth how to apply biblical truth in their daily lives that they may escape the snares of the enemy to avoid being taking captive by him to do his will ( 2 Timothy 2:26). As a Youth Pastor, it is imperative that I partner with the parents of our youth to facilitate developing their youth's spiritual growth in the home. Tony Clark, Jr. is Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's Assistant Director, where he oversees the Before and After School Program. Before joining CCCA's team, Tony was a Special Education Educator with the Newport News public school system for nine years and later became a supervisor with the City of Newport News Parks and Recreation.Impacting the lives of children is Tony's top priority, as he desires not only to see children challenged educationally, but to also see them mature spiritually in a Christ-centered environment. This, in turn, creates opportunities for them to be positive influences within their community. A favorite verse of Tony's is Colossians 3:12, which says, "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Because of the compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience he shows the students, he is blessed with the unique gift of making strong connections with children and their parents.
