Shenley Rd, Headcorn, Ashford TN27 9HX
A fruity full bodied ale with a slight choc taste and medium bitterness using French Bouclier mixed with Kentish hops using a 1-3bbl system pico brewery method. Our ales are produced in mid Kent around the small aerodrome in Headcorn plus also in France with the French hops flown in from Le Touquet in Northern France on a regular basis and Kentish hops flown from Headcorn back to France by light aircraft owned by the micro brewery owners. This French couple who now retired from Corporate banking have been producing English ale for over 8 year in France in small batches and recently leased a small industial unit in Kent to replicate the ale in the UK and have turned their passion and love of English Ales brewed with the stronger flavours of northern French beer into a very drinkable product. In France it was known as Headcorn Hop and will be re branded to Route 53, a name chosen by the first stockist of our ales in the UK and named after the bus route which stops outside their micro pub..
