My name is Shehryar Khursheed and I am the founder and Chairman of Khursheed Holdings, a private investment company. This blog will be the home for my thoughts, ideas and insights into my investment decisions. I hope to offer insightful posts, but I also hope to learn from people reading my posts and leaving comments. I take a value-oriented approach when analyzing companies and I prefer to focus on current assets/earnings rather than projections. I belive the current state of a company and its potential for growth is the best indicator of its value for its shareholders. In my evaluations, you will see a lot of asset-based valuations as well as techniques adoped from the Graham and Dodd investing approach including owners earnings and earning power value.
