Mark L. Evans has worked as a design professional since 1984. Mark originally trained as an architect before specialising in urban design in the early 2000's.
Mark spent twenty years working in architecture in Australia and is well-grounded in architectural concept development, technical design development, and site work/contract administration across a range of building types.
In 2002, Mark began his career in urban design with Conybeare Morrison, delivering the Edgewood Estate masterplan, a residential scheme in Woonona, Australia, that won the Urban Institute of Australia Award in 2003.
Mark moved to the UK in 2005, becoming Design Director at CivicArts, working with American architect Eric R. Kuhne. He collaborated on and led masterplanning and architectural projects including: Titanic Quarter Masterplan, Belfast; Titanic visitor attraction, Belfast; Manama Lagoon Masterplan, Bahrain; EpiCentre Masterplan, Las Vegas; Castle Key Housing, Jersey; and Ampang Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
Mark commenced work as an independent consultant in 2016. Projects include: analysis of transit-oriented development for Crossrail 2, London; and concept development strategy for Bellingham Waterfront Masterplan, Washington State.
Mark is a strong proponent for all businesses, large and small, to make a contribution to their local communities.
