Albert Schuman

Al has primary responsibility for all such work undertaken through the Tampa office, particularly for the power and phosphate industries. This includes site work/site development; mechanical work; industrial piping; welding; gypsum stack closure/process water management; and industrial concrete work. Al joined Moretrench in 1973, was promoted to Vice President in 1983, and served as President of Moretrench Environmental Services from 1985 until its acquisition by Keller. He is currently a member of Moretrench's Board of Directors. Al holds an A.S. in Construction from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Class A General Contractors License in the State of Florida.

Charles Cates - VP

Charles serves as the lead field operations and personnel manager for the Tampa office, develops and maintains client relations, oversees all aspects of project execution, manages project cost control, and is responsible for all aspects of field safety. During his career, Charles has been involved in numerous industrial, civil, environmental, and mechanical construction projects involving: earthwork and excavation; geotechnical and environmental drilling; installation, dewatering, and groundwater control systems; slurry wall construction; poured-in-place and cast concrete structures; landfill gas remediation landfill closure; and industrial plant upgrade and maintenance. He is a certified Underground and Utility Contractor for the State of Florida and holds a Class V Fire License for the State of Florida.

Dennis Boehm - VP

Dennis holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He began his career with Keller (formerly Hayward Baker) in 1990 but has been involved with the design of deep foundations since his entrance into the industry in 1987. He was most recently Senior Vice President at Keller before moving over to Moretrench Industrial. Dennis is a member of ASCE Geo-Institute and their Ground Improvement Committee. He is a member of DFI (Deep Foundations Institute) and the past Soil Mixing Committee Chairman. He also received the Joe Welsh Market Development Award for Soil Mixing in 2013. Dennis has authored several technical papers on the use of soil mixing and jet grouting for new construction and remedial applications. He has also published several tank articles and gives regular presentations on the application of Ground Improvement for tank support. He is also a regular presenter at the Colorado School of Mines tunneling course for compensation grouting.

Jeff Wand - VP

Jeff holds a BA in Accounting from the University of South Florida. He has held the position of Controller for Moretrench Industrial since 2005.

John Carpenter - President

John focuses on the specialized earthwork, concrete construction, ground stabilization, and facility maintenance needs of the power, mining, and manufacturing industries in the southeastern United States. He has primary responsibility for all such work undertaken through the company's Florida office. Before joining Moretrench, he held commercial roles with General Electric, International Paper, and Mosaic Fertilizer. He holds an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University.

Michael Panny - VP

Along with being Vice President of industrial construction operations, Mike also fulfills a project management role. In this respect, he is directly involved in all phases of on-site work including site supervision, safety, budget control, coordination with vendors, subcontractor relations, client relations, project estimates, project administration, and timely completion of each project.
