Kateeka Harris

Kateeka Harris is a diversity practitioner that infuses intentional inclusion into all of her work. She is the Title IX Compliance Officer for Tarrant County College District, overseeing all Title IX initiatives for the District, including training, policies and compliance. She has over 20 years of administration experience in higher education settings, diversity-related programs, and the juvenile justice system. Some of her areas of expertise include: mediation, student conduct, Title IX compliance, and policy audits.

Kim L. Jackson

Kim L. Jackson has worked as a diversity and inclusion practitioner since 1994. She brings expertise in D&I training, curriculum design, experiential learning, culturally responsive teaching methods to Aurora Change Agency. She currently serves as an Associate Professor of Humanities and Dance and the Chair of Visual and Performing Arts at Tarrant County College's Northwest Campus. Her research areas include but are not limited to cultural studies, representation in popular culture, women studies and instersectionality. She received both her B.A. in dance and her M.A. in drama from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Education. Ms. Jackson is also a certified 200-RYT yoga instructor who specializes in meditation, restorative and therapeutic yoga. Ticily Medley, Ph.D., LMFT-S, LPC is a partner with Aurora Change Agency. She is currently the Director of Counseling on the Tarrant County College South Campus in Fort Worth, TX. Prior to her current position, she served as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology at TCC. Dr. Medley is licensed in Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist (and board-approved clinical supervisor) and a Professional Counselor. She holds a bachelor's degree in Plan II/psychology, a master's degree in clinical/counseling psychology and a doctorate in counseling psychology. Dr. Medley's research and advocacy focus on healthy relationships, sexual and gender identity and cultural inclusion. She has presented at local and national professional conferences, created continuing education seminars, published research and taught at various educational levels.

Lisa Uhlir

Lisa Uhlir, Ph.D. is a full professor of Government. Dr. Uhlir has won numerous awards for her teaching as well as her efforts in faculty diversity and inclusion efforts. Last spring she was the recipient of the first NE campus student "favorite teacher' Award and the Chancellor's quarterly awards for excellence. Dr. Uhlir was voted the best student in her Ph.D. program and the most Outstanding Teaching fellow in all divisions at UNT in 2000. Lisa has multiple degrees in various subjects from Russian and International Finance to political philosophy and her original goal was to become a spy! She attended Wright State University, the University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas and George Washington University. She is a frequent university and community guest speaker. Dr. Uhlir is an Ojibwa Indian and her lectures frequently include topics related to the history and educational issues of indigenous peoples. She has even been a frequent speaker at the Department of Homeland Security about Indigenous Peoples and their cultural perspectives.

Shani Barrax Moore

Shani Barrax Moore is a strategic diversity and inclusion practitioner with over 17 years of experience. She serves as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of North Texas where she oversees the Multicultural Center and the Pride Alliance units on campus. She also serves as a partner with The Aurora Change Agency. Previously, Ms. Barrax Moore served as the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Tarrant County College District. There she revamped the new employee diversity orientation, now called "Free to Be Me at TCC;" created Foundations of Diversity and Inclusion, TCC's comprehensive awareness series; led the formation of Diversity and Inclusion Councils across the district, and developed a comprehensive Strategic Plan for Diversity and Inclusion from an institution-wide climate assessment. She became a diversity practitioner after a career in public relations and marketing, and incorporates branding into her strategic diversity and inclusion strategy. She has also worked in secondary and higher education as an instructor, administrator, and consultant, and led a prior organization through a diversity assessment and plan that served as a model for independent schools around the country, which earned her an appointment to the executive team of a national diversity and inclusion think tank. She also served as a contributing editor and co-author for a handbook on diversity and inclusion practice published by the National Association of Independent Schools. A native of North Carolina, she received her bachelor's degree from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Masters of Business Administration from Strayer University. She is also a Cornell University Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner.
