Erin Amaral

Erin was raised on a farm in Crows Landing, California where her family grows almonds and operates a commercial harvesting business. She moved to San Luis Obispo in 1995 to attend Cal Poly and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Plant Protection Science, focusing on Viticulture. Upon graduation she began her career with Pacific Coast Farming in 1999 and has grown with the company since. Erin is a recent graduate of the California Ag Leadership program (Class 46) in which she gained leadership training experience and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the San Luis Obispo Farm Bureau. She is proud to be a part of a team that is promoting innovative vineyard management and farming philosophies along with the implementation of progressive and sustainable farming practices.

George Donati

Job Titles:
  • General Manager
George is a 4 th generation agriculturist on the Central Coast, dating back to his great grandfather's emigration from Switzerland to Cayucos, CA in 1870. He received his degree in Agricultural Business Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. George is an expert in vineyard properties offering a turn-key operation to clients that includes vineyard development & vineyard management. He is General Manager of Pacific Coast Farming, specializing in vineyard properties mainly in the San Luis Obispo area of Edna Valley, and also properties in Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. George is also a licensed California Farm Labor Contractor and a licensed wine grape broker, providing these services to the clients that he manages. He is a member of the California Farm Bureau and the recipient of the 2013 San Luis Obispo County Wine Grape Grower of the year award. George and his wife Kristi live in the Edna Valley.

Jim McGarry

Jim has more than 20 years in the vineyard management industry and is a licensed Pest Control Advisor. He is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an alumnus (Class 43) of the California Ag Leadership Program. With experience in managing vineyards in Sonoma, Monterey, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, Jim understands what it takes to help his clients attain their goals and produce the highest grape quality possible for their sites. Jim and his wife, Michele are natives of Santa Maria and are both passionate about working in the wine industry. However, their greatest passion comes in raising their two children, Reagan and Henry.

Violet Booker

Eager to learn and apply her career experience in risk assessment and team development, Violet came to Pacific Coast Farming in 2009 with a much different background than agriculture. Her focus over the last 25 years had been in Executive Protection, Fire Safety, Injury Illness Prevention Programs and Criminal Defense Investigation. Her understanding of rules and regulations and how they benefit both the company and employee has remained her focus at Pacific Coast Farming. Her priority is managing risk exposure, developing effective workplace practices, reducing and managing claims and employee compliance. Violet is a 1989 graduate from Allan Hancock's Peace Officer Standard Training Academy and has additional advanced training in investigation and continues with ongoing training in safety and laws & regulations as they pertain to agriculture and human resources.
