Aaron Howe

Aaron worked in customer service and purchasing prior to starting with South Eashope Mutual in 2017. Working on the purchasing side gave Aaron firsthand knowledge of the good and bad of customer service. He uses the good to serve members of South Easthope Mutual. He loves working with people and finding a solution to their everyday insurance needs. Aaron also appreciates getting the chance to work alongside his father and learn the skills he has spent a lifetime learning. Aaron completed a Business Administration diploma at Fanshawe College and is now working towards his Chartered Insurance Professional designation. Aaron is married to wife Laura and they have two daughters. He enjoys family time, woodworking and baseball and being active at his local church.

Ben Fallowfield

Treating others as he wants to be treated and working to meet the needs of members is how Ben Fallowfield operates as a South Easthope Mutual agent. Before coming to South Easthope in 2005, Ben was in sales with a local farm equipment dealer. Members appreciate his agricultural knowledge and experience. For 33 years, Ben gave back to the community as a volunteer firefighter with the East Zorra - Tavistock Fire Department - Hickson Station. Throughout his time he served as Captain, Deputy Chief and District Chief before retirement. His involvement with the fire department has given him unique insight into the damage and trauma fire losses can cause. He puts this knowledge to work for members making sure they are properly protected through insurance. Ben is WETT certified and does wood stove inspections for South Easthope Mutual. An avid golfer, Ben loves to play a round of golf at an area course or can be found wood working.

Brendan Leis

Brendan grew up on a farm just outside of Tavistock, ON. After 15 years working in Engineering designing heavy construction equipment attachments, Brendan joined South Easthope Mutual Insurance looking for a new challenge: to connect and partner with local families, farmers and businesses. Brendan graduated from Conestoga College in the Mechanical Engineering, Design and Analysis program, and also enjoys woodworking and coaching local minor sports teams. Brendan is married to his wife Sheryl and they have three children. From his time growing up on a farm, and his experience in engineering, Brendan has a keen interest in agriculture and heavy equipment, bringing a wealth of knowledge and understanding to clients with farm business and machinery policies. Brendan is excited to work at South Easthope Mutual and looks forward to partnering with members to protect their homes and businesses.

Brent Lange

Brent Lange began his insurance career at South Easthope Mutual in Loss Prevention in 2018 while training to become an Agent. After growing up on a dairy farm outside of Shakespeare, he now resides in Tavistock with his wife, son & daughter. Prior to coming to South Easthope, he worked at Saputo Foods in Tavistock for 17 years. An avid community member and volunteer, Brent has been a volunteer Firefighter in Tavistock for the past 9 years. After coaching Minor hockey for over 10 years, he can now be found helping with the Tavistock Braves. In any spare time he has left, Brent enjoys playing sports (golf, hockey, baseball) and spending time with family & friends. Brent is friendly, hardworking & committed to getting the job done right. He looks forward to providing quality service to new & existing members.

Cindy Lotus

Providing exceptional service to members is what Cindy Lotus loves about being an agent for South Easthope Mutual Insurance. She has worked in the insurance industry since 1988 and has been with South Easthope since 2003. Her genuine desire to accommodate people, making insurance convenient and her attention to detail are key in how Cindy serves the membership. Cindy has lived in Woodstock for the last 22 years. She often walks her dog around the city's parks with her husband and can be found antiquing, camping with her grandsons and spending time with family and friends. Edward Pellow

Edward Pellow started with the company in 1965, as Manager and Assistant Secretary. He served as Tavistock agent from 1967 to 1969. He was appointed Secretary-Treasurer in 1973 and served until his retirement in 2003. The company underwent many changes and advances during his 38-year tenure. The classes of windstorm and hail, liability, automobile and farmers' accident were added to the insurance license. He appointed brokers. Agency offices were opened in Woodstock and Mitchell.

F. Marguerite Caistor

James Howe

A desire to meet new people and help them with their insurance needs brought James Howe to South Easthope Mutual Insurance in 1985 after his own personal claim experience with the company. He was raised on a dairy farm in the Dorchester area and puts his agricultural knowledge to work for members. He strives to always find insurance solutions that work and make sense. James is married and lives near Woodstock. Spending time with his six kids and grandchildren keep him busy and he loves to hit the open road on his motor bike. Jeff Leonhardt

A lifelong resident of Embro, Jeff is a neighbour and friend to many members. He values the relationships he's built with members at South Easthope Mutual Insurance, and always treats them with honesty and respect. Jeff has been an agent for South Easthope Mutual Insurance since 2004 after taking over from his father when he retired. He thrives on meeting different people and getting to know them personally, not just as clients. Jeff is a diehard Leafs and Bluejays fan and enjoys golfing and carpentry. He likes to travel with his wife Kim and spends time with his two step daughters and grandchildren.

Jordan Forster

After 16 years as a licensed farm mechanic and time in equipment sales, Jordan joined South Easthope Mutual in 2016. He brought with him his love of farming and agricultural knowledge to serve South Easthope's members. Jordan is happy to be in an industry where he is constantly learning and meeting different people out and about. He wants to provide a high level of service to members, making sure all questions are answered and insurance needs are fulfilled. Jordan spends much of his free time taking care of his Limousin and Angus cow calf operation as well as cash cropping. He likes to attend beef shows and sales, hunt and fish as well as going out to try new food. Kyle Cressman

Kyle has been an agent since 2006. To gain knowledge and experience in the insurance industry, Kyle was mentored by his grandfather, Don Hamilton, an Insurance Broker for over 30 years. Prior to becoming an insurance agent, Kyle obtained a Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Guelph. Kyle lives on a beef and cash crop farm with his wife and four young children near Listowel. He is dedicated to his family, is a sports enthusiast as a fan and a player. He enjoys spending time with his extended family and friends. Patti Nahrgang-Giroux

Patti has been with South Easthope Mutual Insurance since 2009. She began working with her dad as he was transitioning into retirement from his time as an agent with South Easthope. Their 25 plus years of dinner table conversation was her introduction; and the opportunity to work and learn alongside him began her education. It allowed her to meet and get to know members and the company he took pride in. Patti now shares this same pride. Insurance isn't something you can see, touch, smell or taste. It's words on paper. It's a promise. Patti feels it is her job to help people understand how it works. She knows no two people, or properties are ever the same. Patti is the person who wants to listen and see what makes your home, farm or business unique. Then she makes the plan - this is what she does best.

Robert Reid

Business was conducted in Tavistock when Robert Reid became Secretary. The Reid family was one of the first five families to settle in Tavistock. Underwriting was expanded from just farm fires to include schools, churches, town residences and businesses.

Ryan Johnston

Ryan Johnston was born and raised and continues to live in Listowel, ON today. After spending 18 years working with his dad in the family's custom cabinetry business, Ryan joined South Easthope Mutual as an Agent, following his mom's footsteps in the insurance industry. Ryan graduated from the Business Management program at Conestoga College. He loves sports and being involved in the Listowel community. Ryan was a volunteer firefighter for 3 years. Ryan is married to his wife Nicole and they have two daughters. Ryan is very excited to be working for South Easthope Mutual and looks forward to serving members.

Sir John Easthope

John Easthope was a British MP and magistrate for Middlesex and Surrey. He favoured reform by peaceful, constitutional means. He was convinced that voting by secret ballot was the only way to avoid corruption and intimidation. Easthope also believed in self-reliance and supported workhouses. A man of wealth, he supported charities and served as chairman of a London Benevolent Association and vice president of the Orphan Working School. In his professional life, Easthope started as a bank clerk and later became a stockbroker. He served as chairman of a London Raliway Company and the Mexican Mining Company. As a Journalist, Easthope once owned the newspaper where author Charles Dickens worked as a parliamentary reporter. The company was organized in the township in 1871, as the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of the Township of South Easthope. The Townships of South Easthope and North Easthope were named in honour of Sir John Easthope (1784-1865), who served as a director of the Canada Company, the British land company that settled the Huron Tract beginning in 1828. Thomas Pellow

Ed Pellow is the only person to have served as chair of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association (OMIA), the Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan (Farm Mutual Re) and the Canadian Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (CAMIC). He is a recipient of the esteemed OMIA Presidential Merit Award. Ed's father, Thomas Pellow, served as a company director from 1955 to 1978. Combined, the Pellows served the company for 61 years.

William S. Russell

William S. Russell was appointed Secretary-Treasurer. He conducted the insurance business from his shoe shop, serving the company for 42 years. In 1931, the company purchased the W.S. He conducted the insurance business from his shoe shop, serving the company for 42 years. In 1931, the company purchased the W.S. Russell building from his estate. Russell was born in Quebec, one of 13 children. He came to this area at the age of six, and learned the shoemaking trade here. Later, he worked in towns across Ontario as well as in Detroit and Chicago, but returned to Tavistock in 1874. He made his home at 20 Jane Street and started the shoe business, later moving it next door to the corner property. Russell had served as Secretary-Treasurer for the South Easthope Agricultural Society. In 1879, East Zorra and South Easthope Agricultural Societies began holding their fairs together. After the government prohibited, "union fairs" in 1906, they amalgamated to become the Tavistock Agricultural Society. Russell continued to serve as Secretary-Treasurer until 1917. W.S. Russell also served as clerk of the 7th Division Court for the County of Oxford, on the Tavistock Board of Health and on the Tavistock Board of Education. He was one of three Tavistock directors appointed to the People's Building and Loan Association of London, Ontario.
