In 2009, Debbie Miller's dad, Bud Blackwell, passed away from pancreatic cancer. Debbie saw the great care that he was given by his Oncology nursing staff (so much so that she became one of them). She is now an Oncology Nurse... We started a fundraiser to help support cancer patients in our community back in 2011. In 2012 we decided to do it again. By 2013 we couldn't imagine not doing it. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to cancer patients in our community. The money we raise helps get patients to chemo appointments and provides them with money to help pay the bills, get groceries and so much more... This event raises money for cancer patients in Lawrence, Beaver and Butler counties. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to cancer patients.
