In 1980 by Josiah Williams when he opened an office on Kiawah Island. It was known as Williams & Associates. Two years later the company moved to James Island and Williams merged with Ken Gifford and Harold Nielson and became Gifford Nielson and Williams. Several years later Williams left his partners and the name was changed to Southeastern Surveying, Inc. In 2002 Mark Busey, John Byrnes and Doug DeWolff, all of whom worked for Southeastern since it's early days, purchased the company. The company name was then changed..
