Andrew Buckley

Job Titles:
  • Clinic Director and Clinical Lead of Osteopathy and Physiotherapy
Andrew is a qualified Osteopath BSc (University of Brighton) and Physiotherapist MSc (University of Bath), as well as a lecturer and examiner in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Bath and provides placements and orthopaedic teaching at Team Buckley for Kent and Medway Medical students. Andrew has also gained masters level qualifications in Spinal Trauma and Orthopaedics (University of Salford Manchester) & Shoulder and Elbow rehabilitation (University of Southampton). Andrew is also a qualified Musculoskeletal Sonographer (University of East London) and holds certificates in Acupuncture, Sports Massage and Personal Training. Andrew is the Director of Team Buckley. Andrew has worked with several elite athletes , teams and events including Premier and championship football, elite track cycling, volleyball , hockey and has a been a Physiotherapist at both Olympic and Junior Commonwealth games and currently a senior physiotherapist at the Isle of Man motorbike TT and provided pre-olympic camp rehabilitation for the Chinese para-lympic Gold medal winning team in 2012 and was the lead therapist for the USA national track cycling team. His qualifications and experience allow Andrew to offer his own unique style of treatment from a medical and holistic perspective. His areas of interest are arthritis , spinal pain, frozen shoulder, Knee ligament and post-trauma rehabilitation. Andrew is a qualified Osteopath and Physiotherapist, as well as a lecturer and examiner in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Bath. With post graduate qualifications in Spinal Trauma and Orthopaedics, Shoulder and Elbow rehabilitation and certificates in Acupuncture, Sports Massage and Personal Training, Andrew is the Director of Team Buckley. He has worked at the clinic in Canterbury since it opened in 1997 when it was called the classical osteopathic and sports injury clinic. Andrew took over the clinic in 2006 and rebranded the company, with an emphasis on expanding the practice into a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled therapists. Andrew has extensive experience within sport.He has worked as an Osteopath/Physiotherapist at international events such the London 2012 Olympics (Track Cycling), Track Cycling World Cups (Beijing/London), Junior Commonwealth Games, NatWest Island Games and BUCS Judo. He has also worked with many professional teams and athletes at both international and national levels, including the USA Track Cycling team, Gillingham and Fulham football clubs, Team Bath Judo, England Basketball, Canterbury men's hockey, the New Zealand Ballet and the Team China Paralympic medal-winning team. He currently works as a Senior Therapist supporting the riders at the prestigious Isle of Man TT (a motorcycle event). Andrew also provides consultancy teaching in Spinal Pathology, Manual Therapy and Manipulation techniques for physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors and has taught these techniques to several premier league rugby and football teams. His qualifications and experience allow Andrew to offer his own unique style of treatment from a medical and holistic perspective. His areas of interest are spinal pain, frozen shoulder, Knee ligament and post-trauma rehabilitation. Andrew is a former footballer, having played for many local teams including the youth team at Gillingham Fc. Injuries limited Andrew's progression in football, and it is partly this that led him to training in the fields he has, meaning he has a personal understanding of the frustrations of being injured and the rehabilitation required to achieve the desired outcome. Away from work, he enjoys weight training and riding his many bikes.

George Ashby

Job Titles:
  • Sports Therapist & Soft Tissue Specialist
George joined the team in June 2021 and is also a Sports Therapist for Crystal Palace Football club and Dover Athletic Football Club. George assists our team by providing advanced rehabilitation exercise and general musculoskeletal assessment and treatment/Sports & deep soft tissue massage.

James Pritchard

Job Titles:
  • Physiotherapist BSc Hons PG Cert Injection Therapy
Prior to joining Team Buckley, James spent eight successful years serving on board submarines in the Royal Navy. He has a particular interest in posture, ergonomics, Pilates and lower limb rehabilitation and is currently studying orthopaedic medicine and injection therapy. His sports and hobbies include open-water scuba diving, triathlons, running, snowboarding and travelling the world. James is qualified in Musculoskeletal injection therapy and carries out numerous steroid injections here at the clinic to help alleviate pains which may not be responding to traditional treatments.

Jordan Taylor

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Physiotherapist & Sports Therapist
Jordan joined the team in April 2021 and not only does she hold a masters degree in Physiotherapy she also has a degree in Sports Therapy. Jordan is very experienced therapist and has worked tirelessly with patients suffering from Covid during 20/21 within her NHS hospital role. She has also worked within semi-professional football and enjoys treating both sports and non sporting clients. In her spare time she will often be seen racing at local triathlon races.

Megan Grosvenor

Megan is a valued member of the Team and not only does she provide massage for adults but has a specialist interest in Pregnancy massage and also works an assistant to Andrew Buckley. Megan is keen fitness enthusiast and enjoys crossfit and weight lifting. Megan also coaches strength and conditioning here at Team Buckley

Rosa Buckley

Job Titles:
  • Clinic Secretary
Rosa is Andrew Buckleys wife and clinic secretary. She assists in all aspects of the day to day running of the clinic

Sophie Richardson

Job Titles:
  • Clinic Lead Soft Tissue Therapist and Exercise Rehabilitation
Sophie is a qualified Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. She has vast experience in sport and is the former soft tissue therapist for the current european champion England women's football team. Sophie travelled with the team for their international matches and was part of the medical team at the France 2019 World Cup where the team reached the semi finals unluckily losing to the USA. Sophie is the lead soft tissue therapist at the clinic and works closely with Andrew Buckley, implementing the rehabilitation exercise and program design and coordinating pilates classes. Away from work, she enjoys running and competing in triathlons and looking after her 3 children.

Suresh Sudula

Job Titles:

Suresh is from the Kent Musculoskeletal Clinic and provides the expert assessment of musculoskeletal problems via diagnostic ultrasound scanning of joints and soft tissues. He also provides ultrasound-guided injections. We are thrilled to be able to say that Suresh works closely with us here at Team Buckley to optimise our rehabilitation strategies according to injury severity and recovery stages. Having specialised in Musculoskeletal Medicine for the last 15 years and gained a variety of academic awards, Suresh is an asset to our team.

Victoria Clayson

Victoria is one of our fully qualified trio of Deep soft tissue and massage therapists and also in the final year of completing a degree in Sports Therapy.

Will Beck

Job Titles:

Will achieved a first class honours physiotherapy degree from the University of Brighton. He is a keen Cricket player and specialises in musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation.
