UDL2017

The key participants were were composed of MDL and SPED faculty. These key participants from two different departments met monthly and developed a program that implemented UDL in select course, continuing to build on prior knowledge every year. UDL was implemented by introducing UDL within the first two years of the program in classes such as "Introduction to Education, Introduction to Special Education, Education Technology, Chemistry and Education Technology Teaching and Learning in Diverse Classrooms" (Breiner & Haring, 2017, p.15). This was effective and distinctive because UDL was embedded throughout the four-year curriculum, not just something glanced at once. UDL is also embedded during junior and senior year through "Foundations and Assessment of Literacy, Middle Schools Assessment, and Disciplinary Literacy in middle school" (Breiner & Haring, 2017, p.15).
